Brooklyn indiepop band Grand Resort have been gigging around town constantly for the last year, but haven't released any new recorded material in a while. That changes today with a new single, "Endless," a manic pop rush that bounces from start to finish. That's the cover art above. Violens' Jorge Elbrecht gave it a little polish as well. We've got the premiere of its video below.
If you haven't caught them live yet, Grand Resort's summer slate is packed, with three chances to see them in the next week alone: They play a free show at Central Park's Naumburg Bandshell on Friday (7/5, 7:15 PM) as part of a diverse lineup of music, spoken word and comedians; they play as part of this weekend's Gigawatts Festival at Silent Barn on Saturday (7/6); and Monday (7/8) at Bushwick venue Apostrophe.
Grand Resort will have an August residency at Pianos, playing the last three Thursdays of the month (15, 22 & 29) with line-ups still TBA. They'll also launch this year's Sound Bites Series at The Fulton Stall Market (8/4) (which, full disclosure, I book).
They've got a bunch of other shows too. All upcoming shows are listed, along with the new video, below.
