Mark Lanegan

Onetime Screaming Trees frontman Mark Lanegan will release his new solo album, Imitations, on September 17 via Vagrant. The record is all covers, including his takes on "Mack the Knife" and Bond theme "You Only Live Twice." You can stream his string-laden version of John Cale's "I'm Not the Loving Kind" below.

Mark will also be touring this fall, including a stop in NYC at Gramercy Theatre on October 15. Tickets for that show go on sale Saturday (7/27) at 10 AM.

Remember the time Gutter Twins performed at Webster Hall and Greg Dulli threw a fit because the crowd wasn't applauding enough for Mark Lanegan... that was fun.

Lanegan really hates this album? This is one of the best albums of the 90's! In the top 5 in my book.
