Phantom Glue

Phantom Glue definitely mirror some Boston bands’ tendencies to mix post-hardcore, noise rock and sludge into a new entity, and they have done so for a while. The band’s latest effort, called A War of Light Cones, is another seven songs that blur those lines further. Look for the new LP on July 16 via Black Market Activities, with the single “Captain Keith Pierce” available below (alongside another track “Perils”). The band describes the inspiration for “Captain Keith Pierce” as follows:

“It’s from the perspective of a character landing in America in Colonial times. It’s about a legend that anything buried in the soil will evenually come back in another form. Cryptids turning into Sasquatch, for example. Essentially anything buried is a seed – ‘to be buried is to be born’…”
