As mentioned, Deer Tick's new album, Negativity, will be out at the end of next month (9/24). That's the cover art above. That's a real airplane banner they used and you can watch a video of how they shot the cover art (via The AV Club) below. The band, as mentioned, have tour dates this fall with Robert Ellis, including on in NYC at Webster Hall on November 7 (tickets).

Before that, though, Deer Tick will be back in NYC to do a show under their Deervana alter ego at Brooklyn Bowl on September 13, playing In Utero in full. Tickets for that show go on sale Friday (8/16) at noon.

Updated dates are listed, along with that making-of video, below.

OK, somebody tell me if this Deervana show would be worth going to see. I am about a 60% fan of Nirvana and never saw Deer Tick (and am not really a fan). Would it be a plain old entertaining show for me anyway?

Thanks in advance.

Wow, this record cover is a complete bite on Eddy Current Supression Ring's "rush to relax".

Dear Tick, I already do not like you.

The whole Deervana thing is kind've a joke. They're not even playing the right chords half the time. I've done better versions drunk with my friend and a boom box
