Dog Party

Dog Party is the Sacramento, CA pop punk duo of Gwendolyn (age 17) and Lucy (age 15) Giles, who may be young but display a love of classic punk like the Ramones and the stripped down melodic rockers that came in their wake like The Queers and The Muffs. Back in the spring, they signed to Asian Man (Joyce Manor, Kevin Seconds), and they just released their first full length for the label, Lost Control. Similarly to the recent Night Birds album, it could be mistaken for a lost '90s punk record, but it lives up to its influences, and does them justice. You can listen to the album in its entirety below.

Dog Party's only upcoming dates at the moment are on the west coast. All of those are listed, along with the album stream, below...

How are these two minors gonna tour the country when they have highschool or are they off from school July through August? I know school is year-round with breaks throughout the year in some parts of California. Even if Gwendolyn could tour, how's a 15-year old gonna and is it wise for her to tour being so young?

don't care about the band, but an actual dog party sounds like it would be awesome

I see so many people always surrender to the market, and continue to do more of the same, boring quite perfect with your pops, and you young, beautiful, it sets out to do something different, make an experienced and quality sound, congratulations, very good...They're both cute

I read that these girls go to Rio Americano High School. That's where I went to high school in the early 80s. This song is pretty cool and catchy. Good job girls! :)
