And swearin is a top 10 band of the earth” – @heyheywellok

Salinas Records celebrated their tenth anniversary at Silent Barn on Saturday (8/17). It was exciting for more reasons than one, but one of the especially exciting parts is that the now-defunct P.S. Eliot reunited for the show. P.S. Eliot’s lineup includes Katie Crutchfield on vocals (now of Waxahatchee) and her twin sister Allison Crutchfield on drums (now sings in Swearin’, who also played the show). You can listen to audio of P.S. Eliot’s set at the bottom of this post.

So many other great bands played the show too, including The Measure [sa], Little Lungs, Radiator Hospital, All Dogs, The Ambulars, and more. Did you go? If so, what did you think?

Swearin’ had also just played House of Vans two days earlier (8/15) with Kid Dynamite, Joyce Manor, and Red Hare (pictures), and they have more upcoming shows, including Bowery Ballroom (9/3) with The Julie Ruin (sold out), and 285 Kent (9/4) with Shellshag and Honey (tickets).

Waxahatchee has an upcoming tour with Screaming Females and Tenement which hits NYC on 9/14 at MHOW and 9/16 at Bowery Ballroom. The Bowery Ballroom show is also with Aye Nako (whose Angie Boylan is also in Little Lungs, who played the Salinas Records show). Tickets for both of those shows are still available.
