Big Freedia at Afro-Punk Fest 2013 (more by Chris La Putt)
Big Freedia

Bounce queen Big Freedia will bring her tour to NYC for shows on November 1 and 2 at Brooklyn Bowl (tickets), but as discussed, she'll also be in NYC today (9/25) for a very different reason. Freedia attempts to break the world twerking record for most people twerking simultaneously at Herald Square (34th St @ 6th Ave) from 11:30 AM to 1 PM. If you want to be part of it it's not too late. More info here.

Big Freedia also has a reality series and a new EP on the way. Stream a track from that EP below...

It's amazing what people can accomplish in great enough numbers to escape government regulation. Take your country back on November 19th:

Haha I love it how the little boy kicks into the air and looks like he hits the girl next to him in the head and goes boom

People say our generation is messed up?! This kind of music has been around for more than 20 year even twerking its just been more exposed this year and a younger audience is taking faster than older audiences nothing wrong with it so stop judging it
