Chvrches at BV / Soundwave tent, Firefly 2013 (more by Dana [distortion] Yavin)

Chvrches debut album, The Bones of What You Believe, will finally be out next week (9/24) but you can stream it right now (via NPR) below.

As mentioned, the Scottish synthpop trio will be in NYC this weekend, playing Terminal 5 on Sunday (9/22) with XXYYXX. You can still get tickets, but if you'd like to see them somewhere much smaller, CHVRCHES and XXYYXX are playing a "MTV Artists to Watch" show The Studio @ Webster Hall on Friday (9/20). Tickets for that show are on sale now.

Fuck MTV and any bands that associate with them. I'm burning my Terminal 5 tickets. (Or I would if I had them.)

"Is there anything better out there that is new than these examples?"

Word salad much?

553 I sure hope so! More 80's retro ripoffs. How about some forward thinking original music? MTV Artists to Watch = garbage!

Chvrches music has a lot of personality.

Anon 8:09 By "personality" you mean their music sounds like a thousand other bands?

Posted by Anonymous | September 17, 2013 8:40 PM

They look like really nice people but can there just be no more fucking bands that are recycling this style... anymore.... ever... ???

Thanks in advance.

She has the right to express herself using any word she wants, and its not always meant to be for the purpose of sounding cool. Forget about political correctness and your life will be simpler. I say this as a liberal.
