CHVRCHES at The Studio at Webster Hall - 9/20/13

Scottish synth pop trio CHVRCHES don't stop getting bigger, having just headlined Terminal 5 last night (9/22) on their tour with XXYYXX (less than a year after playing Mercury Lounge), just ahead of the release of their debut album, The Bones of What You Believe. Right before T5 though, CHVRCHES gave New Yorkers a chance to see them in an intimate environment again, playing a last-minute show at The Studio at Webster Hall on Friday (9/20), an MTV-presented show that streamed live. Pictures from the Studio show, including one of the setlist (but unfortunately none of XXYYXX), are in this post.

What's with this trend of hipster chicks wearing their shorts or skirts up past their navel like Ed Grimley?

More synth-pop retro garbage. Enough already. It's 2013. Move forward.

She needs to hire a stylist and they need to find better songwriters.

I dont know if it was you Toby Tenenbaum, but there was one asshole photographer constantly pushing his way through the crowd. I was really close to throwing my beer in his face.

That is not cool especially in a small venue like that.
Get there early and get a spot to do your job and respect the people around you who actually paid to see the show.

216 They could use better music. It all sounds recycled. Face facts; they are not very good. Just more indiejunk.

It wasn't Toby Tenenbaum. We were standing next to him at the front until he left quite early in the show. But I know the dude you are talking about he was "with the band"
