Jason Shevchuck w/ Kid Dynamite at House of Vans (more by David Andrako)
Kid Dynamite

Producer Will Yip has become a go-to guy in the punk scene, sitting behind the boards for Title Fight, Balance & Composure, Pity Sex, Sainthood Reps, Citizen and many others, and on October 8, he'll release a compilation titled Off The Board: A Studio 4 Family Compilation (pre-order) with previously unreleased songs from those artists and a number of others he's worked with. Proceeds from the album will go towards funding his partnership at Studio 4.

One of the songs on the compilation, which makes its premiere in this post, is "That Thing That Separates Em," the first new song in years by None More Black, the band fronted by Jason Shevchuk of the once-again defunct Kid Dynamite. Check it out, in all its scrappy punk glory, along with the comp's album art and tracklist, below.

Wow, this guy just won't go away. Bet Kid Dynamite will be playing with Texas is the Reason on their 2014 national tour.

A "punk" compliation with not a single punk band on it.

Great song, I love to see NMB continuing to put out stuff. These days with bands like Dillinger Four and Lifetime setting the precedent for great bands who continue to put out great music and tour on a part time basis makes me excited that bands will continue to follow this mold instead of breaking up and never playing again. We all know it is tough to make a living in the music biz these days. People's lives move on with kids or mortgages and whatever else. It is great to see bands with so many great songs like None More Black continue to keep busy here or there instead of going away completely. I hope to see them in Pittsburgh real soon and hope there are more songs coming

I've listened to this song probably 50 times and it gets better every time I listen to it. I sure hope there are more coming also.

When he mentioned a Pulp Fiction scene took influence from Studio 4 I immediately thought it was the butt raping scene with Zed. Good movie´╗┐
