Primitive Man announce US tour around CMJ (dates)

Primitive Man

Primitive Man are a pretty negative band. How negative? If you go on their Bandcamp and look at the lyrics for their Relapse debut Scorn from earlier this year, only lyrics for the eleven-minute title track are listed. The lyrics are:

“No one is listening. No one fucking cares.

Yikes. Incidentally, that isn’t what it sounds like frontman Ethan McCarthy is actually saying, though his choked delivery make it hard to tell. It’s pretty common for metal bands not to publish their lyrics, but it’s less common for one of them to explain so succinctly why they didn’t bother.

Nonetheless, Scorn rules — its combination of doom, hardcore, and noise is caustic enough to scour the scum out of your sink, which is (weirdly) a good thing. How much does it rule? Well, we’ve asked them to play our official Invisible Oranges CMJ showcase at Saint Vitus on 10/17 (tickets) You should all come to that show because it is going to rule extremely hard. BUT, if you can’t make it to NYC for CMJ, you’re in luck; Primitive Man have announced a run of US dates during the week around the Vitus date.

All  dates are listed, along with a stream of Scorn in its entirety and tour flyer, below.
