Wooden Shjips coming 'Back to Land,' touring w/ Cave (dates)

San Francisco’s Wooden Shjips (who share a member with Moon Duo) have been making solid, tripped-out neo-psychedelia for years now, and they’re set to release their fourth studio album, Back To Land, on November 12 via Thrill Jockey. Wooden Shjips will also be supporting the new record on a short tour which hits NYC on November 13 at Mercury Lounge and November 14 at Knitting Factory. Both of those shows, and most of the tour, are with the similarly spacey Cave (who have a new album on the way via Drag City). Tickets for both NYC shows go on sale Friday, 9/6 (Merc at noon, Knit at 10 AM). The Merc show is also on AmEx presale now.
