Arcade Fire

Fresh off their two Bushwick shows during CMJ, Arcade Fire did another event in NYC, appearing on The Colbert Report last night (10/21). They performed “Normal Person” and “Afterlife” from their upcoming album, Reflektor (due out 10/29 via Merge), and were also interviewed by Colbert. Videos of both songs and the interview below.

Arcade Fire’s next scheduled event in NYC is the YouTube Awards, which takes place on November 3 at Pier 36 (and airs live on YouTube) with Eminem and Lady Gaga. Since we last spoke, M.I.A., Tyler the Creator, and Earl Sweatshirt have all been added as well. Jason Schwartzman and Reggie Watts will host.

For M.I.A., the awards take place right in between her two Terminal 5 shows (11/1 & 11/4). Tickets for night 1 are still available. M.I.A. also just released a new song, “Y.A.L.A.,” from her upcoming album, Matangi. You can stream that song, along with Arcade Fire’s ‘Colbert’ videos, below…
