Atoms for Peace @ ACL Fest 10/6/2013
ACL Festval Week 1, Day 3 - 10/6/2013

As you may have heard today's final day of Austin's ACL Fest's weekend 2 (10/13) was canceled due to flooding. Venues scrambled to book bands elsewhere and Atoms for Peace (who were to have headlined the Lady Bird stage tonight) landed at ACL Live / Moody Theatre. ACL will be streaming their performance live tonight at 10 PM CDT (11 PM Eastern). Watch it here.

Atoms for Peace played last Sunday (10/6) at weekend 1 of ACL and we already published a set of that and other W1D3 pics. A second set of Atoms for Peace pics from last weekend are in this post. You can check out pics of Weekend 2, Day 1 here and look for pics of the second day of ACL Weekend 2 soon. More of those Atoms for Peace pics below.

does anyone actually & consciously enjoy this band? the hypnotism of hype, it will make a lot of people think they actually dig something in lieu of any other feelings towards the band. RIP radiohead, when the songs were memorable -- and yeah, perfectly poppy. AfP is just indulgent Thom.

seriously, does anyone actually hum an AfP song to themselves in the shower?? songs are so forgettable

mmmmm. good god. i wish i didn't feel the need to comment on here. but... could you sound any more like an annoying, nitpicking - too cool for the world - music snob? ...and i bet you really thought "the hypnotism of hype" was an intelligent line. ..when enjoying their music has a lot more to do with hypnotic rhythms and vocal melodies that reveal themselves and stick with you if you give them more than 30 seconds before deciding they suck. not mindless hype that you can say surrounds any band you don't appreciate.

as for radiohead being at their best when their "perfectly poppy". ...no. no. and no, not really. but whatever. some people prefer them pre-kid a.

dislike atoms for peace and don't get what people see in them? fine, that's fair. ..but thinking you know better than tens of thousands of people who go out to see them or buy their records? that's just... well, i guess that's why people despise "hipsters" so much these days.

Humming ingenue on the pot!

1:27 - they are amazing live. the band works so well off of each other and actually seem like they're having a lot of fun doing up there. Unless you've seen Rush or Primus, Flea is the best bass player you'll ever see.

If this were some new band's debut and the name Yorke wasn't attached to it...

OH MY GOD THE DRUMMER IS USING MORE THAN ONE RACK TOM. THE INDIE ROCK MAFIA WOULD NOT APPROVE.
kinda intrigued now. haven't heard their music yet but wonder if the beats justify the sweet big drum setup.

good god is right. why dont you quit hating and start enjoying life a lil more? you sound like a sad, miserable, "hater". Saw Atoms for Peace at their $10 secret gig last night at ACL studios.......and it was fucking amazing.

Out with the bad, and in with the good.
