Nashville garage rockers Diarrhea Planet released their newest album, I’m Rich Beyond Your Wildest Dreams earlier this year. It’s a solid record but they’re more of a see-it-live thing, so thankfully they’ve been touring like crazy since its release with no plans of slowing down. After an appearance at The Fest, they’ll be kicking off a new run of dates with LA’s The Lovely Bad Things (who play a different Fest show). That tour comes to NYC for a show on November 9 at Glasslands with local rock ‘n’ rollers Desert Sharks. Tickets for that show are on sale now. All dates are listed below.
The Lovely Bad Things spent some time releasing material on trusty garage rock label Burger Records, and they’ve since signed with Volcom Entertainment (Torche, Valient Thorr), who released their newest long-player, The Late Great Whatever, earlier this year. The album pulls from a few Cali-bred genres, including Thee Oh Sees/Ty Segall-style garage rock, Lookout! Records-style pop punk, and sunny melodies that date all the way back to early Beach Boys. It’s a ripper, and you can stream the whole thing below.
