The True Panther/Terrible Records CMJ showcase went down this past Tuesday (10/15) at Music Hall of Williamsburg, headlined by Glasser, who's doing a few CMJ shows as part of her tour in support of her new Interiors album. The rest of the showcase included Lil Jabba, the eccentric Kirin J Callinan, Brooklyn art pop musician Empress Of (who played a lot of new stuff), and forward-thinking R&B singer Kelela, who's been a pretty hot name at CMJ following the release of her CUT 4 ME mixtape. Pictures of that showcase are in this post.

Kirin J Callinan plays our FREE BrooklynVegan day party at Baby's All Right (146 Broadway) today. The show goes from noon to 6 and he's on at 12:45 PM.

Kelela plays Pitchfork's electronic show at 285 Kent on Saturday (10/19).

And Empress Of has a ton of upcoming shows in NYC (CMJ and post-CMJ).

Kelela is great, but the Night Slugs/Fade to Mind crew carry that mixtape.

this is amazing, one of the few music videos that use 3D computer tools to create a deeper experience (and storyline) rather than just making pretty visuals.
