Gorguts

When Invisible Oranges interviewed Luc Lemay of Gorguts on East Village Radio, he alluded between sets to a heretofore-unannounced North American Gorguts tour in support of Colored Sands, which is one of the best metal albums of the year. (It's a far cry from other guitarist Kevin Hufnagel's new ukulele album, that's for sure.)

Now it's official: Gorguts will be hitting the road with death metal shredmasters Origin and Italian noodlers Nero Di Marte, who will be paying their first visit to the States. The Gorguts/Origin pairing is of special interest -- both bands feature prolific (and extremely fast) drummer John Longstreth, who will have his work cut out for him as he cranks out two extremely physically demanding sets per night.

At just 10 days, the tour is relatively short and covers only the Northeastern US and parts of Canada. It wraps up at Saint Vitus on December 21. Tickets aren't on sale yet, but keep an eye out for them.

Stream the newest albums by all three bands and check out the full run of dates below.
