Iron Chic at Europa in 2012 (more by Rebecca Reed)
Long Island punks Iron Chic have opened NYC shows for Bouncing Souls, Hot Water Music, Lifetime, and most recently that secret Saves the Day show at Saint Vitus, and if the melodic punk of those bands appeals to you, there's a good chance "Sounds Like A Pretty Brutal Murder," the first single off Iron Chic's forthcoming LP, The Constant One, will too. It's upliftingly anthemic with "you can keep tomorrow, after tonight we're not gonna need it" levels of live-fast/worry about the rest later slogans that sound destined to be shouted by a club of sweaty kids with half-empty beers flying everywhere.
As discussed, Iron Chic have some upcoming shows, including one in Brooklyn on October 13 at Acheron with RVIVR, Nude Beach (who just opened our BV-curated Bouncing Souls show), and Giant Peach (tickets). They play another NYC show opening for Kill Your Idols at Santos on 11/30, the second of two nights at the venue for KYI (tickets).
Iron Chic also have a few upcoming Long Island shows. All dates are listed, along with the new song stream, album artwork and tracklist, below...
