Kings of Leon @ ACL 2013 (more by Dana [distortion] Yavin)
LoL

Southern-fried garage-rockers-turned-arena-stars Kings of Leon released their new album, Mechanical Bull, back in September. Last night (10/24) the band stopped by Jimmy Kimmel Live and played two songs off the record -- "Supersoaker" and "Temple" -- and you can watch that below.

The Followill brothers will be touring Mechanical Bull in early 2014, hitting NYC at Madison Square Garden on February 14. Tickets for that show go on sale Friday, November 1. All dates are listed below.

I saw them open for Ben Kweller at Irving Plaza in 2003. And for the Strokes in 2005. They were terrible.

Anyone remember when they played the Bowery and were booed off stage. They should of given up then!

Roseland is closing shop. So should they.

I saw them at Webster Hall in 2005. It was boring as fuck. Met some hot chics from London though.

Only time I ever saw them was in 2008 when they played before Radiohead at APW. Every song sounded exactly the same and the set dragged on forever. Terrible.

I hated them at APW. They were boring and the singer made fun of the crowd for not being able to get a beer while sipping a flask. Realized a few years later that they actually have a few good records. They still suck though.

These are the kinds of guys you'd meet after one of their shows in 2002 and said, "good set" and they just stare dead-eyed and keep walking past you.

google the video of caleb having a complete drunken meltdown at the end of their last us tour, which was immediately truncated due to his behavior. i thought for sure they were breaking up.

The album they toured in 2007, had the song about the girl not caring what anyone says she's gonna have a baby, that had a few good songs on it that i knew of at least, then that sex on fire thing came out and it was like damn, hope a bird poops in their mouths

That Philthy show is gonna be PACKED

They played before Radiohead at APW in Jersey City. We were laughing at how cliched and goofy they were. The epitome of "mall rock". Right up there with Foo Fighters and Green Day.
