Prince Rupert's Drops streaming new single, playing CMJ

Prince Rupert’s Drops‘ debut album, Run Slow, was one of 2012’s more underheard albums, dabbling in fungal psychedelia, droney freakouts, and motorik grooves. If you haven’t heard it yet you can stream the whole thing below. We’ve also got the premiere of the band’s new single, “Stay Awake,” which is three minutes of a bad trip (in a good way). Paranoia abounds and you can stream it below.

The band, like most NYC-based bands, will be making appearances during CMJ. They’ll be playing the Beyond Beyond is Beyond showcase at Union Pool on October 17 with Velcro Lewis Group, Coke Weed, and Worthless. Drippy Eye Projections will be providing appropriately trippy visuals. $10 at the door, no advance tickets. You can also use your CMJ badge if you have one of those. Show flyer below…
