Ramming Speed at Saint Vitus, 2013 (more by Caroline Harrison)
Ramming Speed

On Tuesday, we announced that we'll be sponsoring a free after-party show Friday night (10/18) at The Omega Order Warehouse (94 Bogart Street, Brooklyn, New York). At the time, we mentioned that Aksumite, Phantom Glue, and Flown would perform, with a headlining act in the works. That headliner will be Ramming Speed, who played the Metal Insider showcase last night and who also stopped in NYC in September. If you caught either of those dates, you know that they're pretty much the perfect band to headline an after-hours warehouse party.

Remember that the party is BYO, but there will be kegs of Victory lager on tap that you can buy a cup for (courtesy of Victory Brewing). Head over after our Vitus showcase that night (sold out, but you can try and get in with your CMJ badge if you have one).

Ramming Speed also just announced a tour with metal punks Toxic Holocaust and In Defence. The tour will see Ramming Speed return to NYC one more time this year, dropping by Saint Vitus on 11/29. No advance tickets for that show just yet. All dates are listed in this post.

The tour will come on the heels of the release of Toxic Holocaust's new album, Chemistry of Consciousness, due out 10/29. Stream two tracks below, and if you go to the show, remember appropriate hardcore stage diving etiquette ("Thirty seconds of hesitation and searching for the right spot to dive isn't just embarassing, its just plain pointless."). In Defence, meanwhile, is a bit of a head scratcher. It seems that they're responsible for the video below, "Black Metal Mania." Make of that what you will.

Listen to some new Toxic Holocaust cuts, watch the In Defence video, check out some live footage of Ramming Speed from that September date, and check out their full tour schedule below.

What they wanted is that they will be able to control the situation.

As I was watching this, my parents suddenly walked in the room and I quickly switched over to porn as it would be easier to explain..
