Skinny Puppy

Vancouver industrial/EBM outfit Skinny Puppy have been making intense, in-your-face dance music, off and on, for over 30 years, still with core duo Nivek Ogre and cEvin Key at the controls. The band released their 12th studio album, Weapon, back in May (stream it on Spotify) and will launch a full tour in January. That tour hits NYC on February 14 at Webster Hall, which should make for a perfect Valentine's Day for some folk. Tickets for that show go on AmEx presale today at noon and go on sale to the general public on Friday (11/1) at noon.

Skinny Puppy are known for highly theatrical -- often controversial -- live shows, so it will be interesting to see what they cook up for this one. All tour dates are listed below.

Been thinking about the setlist and they always give people something different when the older tour concludes while only keeping a few songs the same. But there isn't anything unreasonable though like 12 songs never played live in the setlist.

Skinny Puppy is about UNDERSTANDING that you are in a shithole designed to constantly reward your affectations by slowly and mercilessly “whorifying” your human spirit, and about utilizing a modicum of your eroding faculty of intelligence to aid you in a painful and treacherous but free thinking crawl out of that shit hole, only to fall back into it again as soon as you have completed your transiently meaningful journey out of it. In the end, tiring of this repetitive journey you will, inevitably, either “ROT AND ASSIMILATE” or ANNIHILATE yourself ……………......................make your choice!!
