Gawker commenters debating "What's the Williamsburg of Your City?" (and "what's its Bushwick?")

Gawker has posed the question we’ve all (or nobody has) been wondering: “What’s the Williamsburg of Your City? Responses so far include:

“Isn’t Williamsburg just full of non-arty assholes now though? It has douchey thump-thump nightclubs and drunk guys yelling “Greg! Did you fuck her?” at one another down the street.”

Another says:

“Chicago. Wicker Park is Williamsburg and Logan Square is Bushwick… Although Logan Square is probably just past the development tipping point and is giving way to places like Pilsen & Avondale for the poor cool kids.”

And:

“in Austin, I’d say that Eastside is our Williamsburg. I could of course kill the hipness if I were to move there. :-)”

And:

I’d say in Philly that “Fishtown” is where you will find the most amount of people sporting thick-rimmed glasses and flannel shirts. The Barbary is probably you go to place for a hipster-scum dance party.

Williamsburg is the biggest neighborhood in Brooklyn, it has a lot of different sub types of douche. There’s still hipster douche, the burgeoning waterfront banker douche, and even the longstanding Hasidic douche.
