LOLLAPALOOZA 2014

As summer winds down in South America, hundreds of national and international acts will travel to Chile, Argentina, and Brazil for the musical extravaganza known as Lollapalooza.

“Our perennial trip through South America has become one of the most anticipated times of the year for my family and our extended family (of musicians),” states Perry Farrell, founder of Lollapalooza. “I have also been inviting every delightful new acquaintance to join us. They will find it to be an epic journey as well.”

The fourth edition of Lollapalooza Chile takes place March 29th & 30th at the beautiful O’Higgins Park in Santiago. The festival’s six stages will host over sixty acts. Topping the bill are Red Hot Chili Peppers, Soundgarden, Arcade Fire, Nine Inch Nails, Pixies, Phoenix, Vampire Weekend, New Order, and Imagine Dragons. The electronic stage will feature Axwell, The Bloody Beetroots, Wolfgang Gartner, Flux Pavilion, and Flume, among others. Chilean artists include Francisca Valenzuela, Joe Vasconcellos, Ana Tijoux, Nicole, Lucybell and Upa!. The inaugural Lollapalooza Argentina takes place on April 1st and 2nd at Hipodromo de San Isidro in stunning Buenos Aires, with partners Fenix Entertainment Group. This first year festival will feature over fifty acts on five stages including Red Hot Chili Peppers, Arcade Fire, Soundgarden, Nine Inch Nails, Pixies, Phoenix, Vampire Weekend, Axwell and Imagine Dragons. Many Argentinian artists will play including Illya Kuryaki & The Valderramas, Juana Molina, Onda Vaga, and El Mato a un Policia Motorizado. The third edition of Lollapalooza Brazil, taking place April 5th and 6th, comes with new international partners Time For Fun, as well as a change of venue to the Interlagos Race Track in São Paulo. The lineup will be announced on Monday, November 11th and pre-sales begin November 18th at www.lollapaloozabr.com.
