Voodoo begins in New Orleans; Find us & Dave Hill in the Soundwave tent (performance & interview schedule)

Dave Hill & Billy Jones will reunite in New Orleans (more by Dana (distortion) Yavin)
Soundwave

Pearl Jam, Nine Inch Nails, and The Cure co-headline the Voodoo festival in New Orleans this weekend. Anamanaguchi, Those Darlins, The Gaslight Anthem, F. Stokes, Matt & Kim, Cults, Jingle Punks Hipster Orchestra and many more will also play sets as part of the New Orleans-music heavy, but eclectic 3-day lineup. Check out the full festival schedule.

This is also the 5th and final festival of 2013 that you’ll find a Toyota Soundwave tent where BrooklynVegan, SPIN and Purevolume will be set up all weekend with host Dave Hill, BrooklynVegan co-host Billy Jones, and a full schedule of additional live interviews and sets that you won’t find on the festival’s main schedule.

Stop by today/Friday to catch a live interview with Anamanaguchi at 2:30 and one with Preservation Hall Jazz Band at 4:00, right before a live set by Those Darlins. Saturday Cults play a set at 1pm before rapper F. Stokes takes our stage. Sunday we get a set by Jingle Punks Hipster Orchestra shortly after their earlier bigger stage show.

When festival artists aren’t playing or talking to us, Dave Hill and Billy Jones will be telling jokes and spinning tunes. Please stop by and heckle them, and check out our full Soundwave schedule below…
