Rough Trade NYC (more by Amanda Hatfield)
RTNYC

We just mentioned that Rough Trade's live shows are "on hold for a while" due to sound issues at the venue, and while some (like tonight's Tourist show) are being moved, others, like Andrew Bird (12/6) and DIIV (12/7), The Stepkids (12/9), Lucius (12/10) and Au Revoir Simone (12/17) have unfortunately been cancelled. Refunds are available at the point of purchase.

Other updates via Rough Trade's Twitter: Childish Gambino's show on Sunday, 12/8 at 6PM has been moved to Music Hall of Williamsburg but you still need to buy a copy of his new CD at the store that day to get a wristband.

Allah Las (12/6), Langhorne Slim / Felice Bros (12/11), and Cults (12/18) have been postponed. Stay tuned for updates on where those shows end up.

There is no reason whatsoever that this place SHOULDN'T exist. You people have it all backwards. What shouldn't exist is the rich euro trash and yuppies who have turned that area into Tribeca-Boston and their fucking file cabinet high rises.

Rough Trade *is* rich euro trash, hope this helps

Went in there, felt dirty, left after 5 mins. Its so overwhelmingly corporate and the opposite of the local BK music scene it really should just go away.

opening a record a massive record store with $50 reissues and no used vinyl. hopefully this causes a swift closure to this idiocy.

this place is for people that dont buy records to buy records.

It's a horrible venue that also sells useless & expensive obsolete technology. I thought it would take a few months for this place to be a monumental failure, not a few weeks.

Saw Jagwar Ma there last week. Great show and cool place. Hope they sort it out soon.

This looks like a great place, hopefully I can buy some Captain and Tennille tapes from there.

Different breed of dogs also require different shampoo and conditioners . Some shampoos are only fit for larger breed of dogs wherelse others are only fit for small breeds like the Chi hua hua.

this is the kind of music you play at your wedding's after celebration and you get ready to have the wisdom of the love of your life's dance moves fuse with yours. "dance with me until we die, my love." then you'll both close your eyes and sway. c:
