Arcade Fire

Arcade Fire just appeared on Zach Galifianakis' mock talk show Between Two Ferns, and to get in the holiday spirit they put their spin on an interesting version of "Little Drummer Boy. The episode also featured Samuel L. Jackson and Tobey Maguire.

Was this part of the financial arrangement for having the "BV Presale", you have to cover every Arcade Fire bowel movement from here until eternity?

No matter what they do, they will never be funny. Ever! Actually it's funny that they have two black fellows just like Talking Heads used to have two black fellows.

On the outside, it looks like a teenage love triangle. It's inferred that Kyle likes Winter's girlfriend, and he gets upset about it. If that part is true or not, this whole album (this song especially) is about growing up. The war symbolizes teenagers. Stuck between childhood and adulthood. Just like one neighborhood is fighting with another. It's symbolizing the inner conflict with teenagers. If you watch Scenes From the Suburbs it makes much more sense. Winter is being forced to grow up by his older brother Terrance. He makes him cut his hair, stop handing out with his friends, and stop acting like a kid. Winter and Kyle are best friends, and in just one short summer their friendship is torn apart. It's pretty deep, actually.
