Dave Chappelle @ Knitting Factory last night (via @optimisticdaze)

One of the best free weekly comedy shows in NYC is Hannibal Buress' Sunday evening show in Knitting Factory's front room. It is always packed to the gills and for good reason -- serious A-listers regularly show up for suprise performances. (Chris Rock and Louis CK have appeared multiple times.) Last night (12/22), Dave Chappelle dropped by for an impromptu set. Hopefully the knit crowd was a little more appreciative (and less inclinced to yell "I'm Rick James, Bitch!") than the ones he dealt with on this summer's Oddball tour.

Comedy Night at Knitting Factory starts at 9 PM but fills up much earlier than that. Who will be at this Sunday's show (12/29)?

I was there, but left at the very beginning because it was way too crowded and uncomfortable. Now I'm kicking myself. At least I saw when Rock showed up last month.

That's me in the first row.

I was super bummed about the brand new tickets selling out in like a second.

But this was probably better. And Hannibal paid for drinks after the show ended. It was awesome.

1:05 doesn't know that he's been around since the early 90's.

Have I missed something? Is "The things we do has something to do with the things that we can enjoy with." a complete sentence. Does it have any meaning? Don't post drunk.
