Modern Baseball

Pop punk band The Wonder Years will be heading out on a North American tour this spring and taking out some seriously excellent support, including lyrical emo kids Modern Baseball, hardcore rippers Defeater, and emo alt-rock bashers Citizen. That tour comes to NYC on April 17 at Best Buy Theater. Real Friends are on that show and most other dates too. Tickets for that show go on sale Friday (12/13) at noon. All dates are listed below.

Meanwhile, Modern Baseball, who have gained a lot more recognition this year since the relatively quiet release of their 2012 LP Sports, have announced that they'll release that album's followup, You're Gonna Miss It All, on February 11 via Run for Cover. Sports was a winner in its ability to be endearingly youthful, and while you might say Modern Baseball have grown up a bit on You're Gonna Miss It All, they haven't stopped writing insanely catchy songs with grin-inducing lyrics. The first taste of the new record is "Your Graduation," which you can stream along with the tracklist, below. That's the artwork above.

All of their dates (including Long Island NJ shows with Bayside), are listed, along with that stream, tracklist, and streams of Defeater and Citizen's 2013 LPs, below...

Typical Andrew Sacher post. Teenybopper music championed by an adult. Yikes.

Their 2012 LP 'Sports' did not go unnoticed here at BV, it generated quite a firestorm in the comments...

YO WHERE'S D AT

Posted by Lookin for D | December 10, 2013 3:43 PM

Y'all knocking' Andy are just a bunch of boys, and Sacher's got balls of brass for doing his own things. Heard from a mutual female friend that he's hung like a rhino and knows how to deliver between the sheets as well.

^is Andy

Wait, are we sure Andy is an adult? His writing style is so childishly trivial and silly that I always envisioned a pimply teenager in NJ suburbs.

I love it how a great album usually equals "catchy" and "anthemic" tunes that have "grin-inducing" lyrics about "seriosly excellent" topics.

Guys Andy is in the 11th grade. How about we cut him some slack?

I know, I know, you all don't care because you have no sense of history or desire to learn it, even though you reply thus show you do very much care, and you care about what I, D, post.

all this is saying is that the bands are going on tour and have new music out, god forbid Andrew writes about a band coming out with new music on a music website

Posted by Anonymous | December 11, 2013 10:07 AM

nobody is telling you all to go see this or listen to this music, we get it your cool you don't like any of these bands. Don't see them live, don't listen to their records and move on with your life.
