Rocket From the Crypt at Riot Fest Chicago 2013 (more by Kirstie Shanley)
Rocket From the Crypt

Rocket From the Crypt, the great punk 'n' roll band fronted by John Reis (also of Drive Like Jehu, Hot Snakes, Sultans, Night Marchers, etc), have been reunited for about a year now, and though they've toured Europe and played Riot Fests, they still haven't come to NYC. That's finally changing, as the band are set to come here for a show on April 2 at Bowery Ballroom and April 3 at The Bell House.

UPDATE: They're playing Boston, Philly and DC too.

Tickets for the Bowery show go on sale Friday (12/6) at noon with an AmEx presale starting Wednesday (12/4) at noon. There is a link for Bell House tickets but no on sale date yet. A limited number of tickets are on sale right now for all the East Coast shows through this RFTC tour site.

All currently known dates are listed, along with some classic song streams, below...

NO! John Reis needs to do more Hot Snakes shows and reunite Drive Like Jehu

Posted by Anonymous | December 3, 2013 12:42 PM

Hot Snakes > Drive Like Jehu > Pitchfork > RFTC.

One of the best live bands ever. BTW, DLJ and Pitchfork would never reunite.

I prefer the Hot Snakes to RFTC, but RFTC are hands down a better live band. There is no better front man than Speedo, who rarely talks when on stage with the Hot Snakes.

Live: RFTC> DLJ HS NM PF
