If you pre-order, have fun paying $50+ dollars for that nonsense.

Hey guys let's argue about the merits of T5

Posted by Anonymous | December 11, 2013 10:54 AM

What merits?
Big box club created so that suburbanites can feel like they're in NYC listening to "indie" rock. Sound sucks, staff sucks, sightlines suck and its a pain in the ass to get to -- unless you're driving in from the 'burbs.
No self-respecting music fan would be caught dead there.
'Nuff?

Posted by Anonymous | December 11, 2013 11:09 AM

Ahh, the merits of banality and the dross American culture.

Posted by Anonymous | December 11, 2013 11:16 AM

Serious question - what is the purpose of pre-ordering on December 11, 2013 an album that comes out on February 25, 2014?

Posted by Anonymous | December 11, 2013 11:16 AM

"Serious question - what is the purpose of pre-ordering on December 11, 2013 an album that comes out on February 25, 2014?"

So Republic Records can justify dropping her from their label after they look at pre-order numbers.

11:09 dumbass of the day! Congrats!

Posted by Anonymous | December 11, 2013 11:31 AM

Terminal 5 does suck, yes. But I'd rather go there every single night than have to spend any time with people like 11:09 who have been offering the same, tired criticisms of this place since 2008. We get it. You don't like it.

Please, end your life.

Posted by Anonymous | December 11, 2013 11:33 AM

^This X 1000

Posted by Anonymous | December 11, 2013 11:37 AM

@11:09 nailed it.

@11:31/11:33/11:37 are the butt hurt morons described by 11:09

Go the fuck away you turds.

Seen several shows there and it's been fine. Sure, I hate hauling over to 11th avenue but once I'm there, I've noticed the sound is usually alright. Plus I'm never one of the total dipshits standing on the side of behind people on the 2nd balcony so my sightline is fine. If you're on the floor, you should be good (unless you're 5'3 or some fat dude).

Posted by Anonymous | December 11, 2013 11:49 AM

Ok 11:45 we get it you work for Live Nation. Irving Plaza ain't so great either! They cater to State Island folks who love cover bands and miller lite.

See what I did there?

Posted by yawn | December 11, 2013 11:49 AM

11:09 is 11:45 loves talking to himself. Pathetic

Posted by Anonymous | December 11, 2013 11:51 AM

We live in a great city. We should have at least decent mid-sized music venues. We don't--T5 sucks. Tired of hearing it? Don't read NYC live music sites. Unless we demand something better, T5 is all we deserve. BOYCOTT! BOYCOTT! ATTICA! ATTICA!

Posted by Anonymous | December 11, 2013 11:57 AM

What are the options for 2,000-5,000 people in NYC

Carnegie Hall
Termial 5 (ONLY GA VENUE LEFT???)
Roseland (Soon to Close)
Theater at MSG
Beacon Theater

Radio City is over 5k I think?

Posted by Anonymous | December 11, 2013 12:01 PM

OK 11:49 we get it you work for Bowery Presents and you feel the need to defend your shitty venue by posting over and over pretending to be different people

See what I did there?

Posted by Anonymous | December 11, 2013 12:02 PM

"What are the options for 2,000-5,000 people in NYC"

Hammerstein

Posted by Anonymous | December 11, 2013 12:03 PM

^yeah it was lame and I was making fun of you. Went over your head I see! Pathetic

Posted by Anonymous | December 11, 2013 12:03 PM

12:03 ah yes...Forgot this one..not too many shows there these days not sure why.

Posted by Anonymous | December 11, 2013 12:04 PM

11:52 is 11:31/11:33/11:37. Even more pathetic.

And the fun goes round and round.

Remember folks. Which is more suspect on a blog catering to heavy music and concert goers. Someone speaking out against a bad sounding venue or someone defending it.

There you have your answer of who are the ones defending T5

Posted by Anonymous | December 11, 2013 12:04 PM

Speaking out^

Posted by Anonymous | December 11, 2013 12:05 PM

@12:03, did not go over anyone's head. Was just a lame comment you made but try again slug

Posted by Anonymous | December 11, 2013 12:05 PM

Defending makes sense when folks are to close minded. One bad expierence and you write of something. I always give a venue 3 chances before I write it off and I did write off T5 in 2008 when they started out. I went back to T5 for the first time since last month at a friends request. It improved immensley. I will now not avoid it like the plague. It is still average at best but not as bad as you make it out to be.

Posted by Anonymous | December 11, 2013 12:07 PM

"What are the options for 2,000-5,000 people in NYC"

I think the BAM opera house also fits that bill.

Posted by Anonymous | December 11, 2013 12:08 PM

12:05 is now embarrased ha ha dummy

Posted by Anonymous | December 11, 2013 12:08 PM

Bam may work but they don't book much either...

Posted by Anonymous | December 11, 2013 12:09 PM

12:05 (2) uuh derp

Posted by Anonymous | December 11, 2013 12:11 PM

Defending a venue makes no sense unless of course you have a stake in it.

Much less suspect someone calling it out.

Funny, you never see the same venom for any other venue in this city. Yes you have some here and there negative comments of some places but not to the extent of T5. And it is way too many for it to be one person. There is a reason for that. It's reviled for a reason you dopes.

And please don't say it is Live Nation employees. There does not seem to be any negative comments here about Bowery Ballroom or Music Hall of Williamsburg which also compete with Live Nation Venues. Wouldn't they be on here throwing shade at those places as well?

Just quit the nonsense and get real already. T5 sucks and most discerning regular concert attendees shun the place for very good reasons.

Posted by Anonymous | December 11, 2013 12:12 PM

I actually wrote 11:09 and nothing else, so you conspiracy buffs from BP can continue to feed your paranoia. T5 sucks and many people believe that. Admit that it purposely caters to a suburban crowd and then you'll have some credibility.

Posted by Anonymous | December 11, 2013 12:13 PM

T5 blows. Everyone knows it. Let's move on.

Posted by Anonymous | December 11, 2013 12:14 PM

@12:08 is obviously delusional

Posted by Anonymous | December 11, 2013 12:14 PM

^HA HA WHAT A DOPE. I say T5 is average at best and I am an empolyee makes total sense. If I was an employee I would really say best sounding venue and plug all the upcoming shows. GET YOUR HEAD OUT OF YOUR ASS!

Posted by Anonymous | December 11, 2013 12:14 PM

Hey 12:14 (2) asshole, why is 12:08 delusional? Bam opera house would work!

Posted by Anonymous | December 11, 2013 12:16 PM

"I am an empolyee"

Well you are certainly stupid enough to be one of their EMPLOYEES.
Are you also 12;03/12:08? Probably

Posted by Anonymous | December 11, 2013 12:16 PM

12:16, obviously that was directed at 12:08(2)

Posted by Anonymous | December 11, 2013 12:17 PM

I am 12:03 and 12:08 I wrote that both Hammerstein and Bam would work as mid sized venues...whats the problem?

Posted by Anonymous | December 11, 2013 12:18 PM

Saying T5 sucks is a good way to convince less people to buy tickets so maybe the poster can get his tickets easier that way...not going to work hommie.

Posted by Anonymous | December 11, 2013 12:20 PM

Heres hoping that one day t5 becomes a Staples.

Posted by Anonymous | December 11, 2013 12:21 PM

"I am 12:03 and 12:08 I wrote that both Hammerstein and Bam would work as mid sized venues...whats the problem?"

The problem is that you lack reading comprehension skills. There are multiple conversations happening in parallel that have splintered from the T5 debate. One group is insulting each other for liking/not liking T5. The other is listing all the possible non-T5 mid-sized venues.

Posted by Anonymous | December 11, 2013 12:21 PM

Gosh you people are annoying. I go to T5 it's ok. Bands I like play there so I will keep going. Nothing more to it.

Posted by Anonymous | December 11, 2013 12:23 PM

I can't even tell the difference between T5 and MSG. One of them is raised off the floor.

Posted by Anonymous | December 11, 2013 12:23 PM

What happened to the Nokia Theater???

Posted by Anonymous | December 11, 2013 12:23 PM

Holes in the anti T5 arguments...

Where did anyone say T5 is the best? The greatest T5 compliments said it is average at best.

It is easy from this simple observation to realize how many people are defending the venue vs complaining about it.

Case closed

"I can't even tell the difference between T5 and MSG. One of them is raised off the floor."

Yeah they both suck

Posted by Anonymous | December 11, 2013 12:27 PM

Does anyone like anything on this board or is it just trendy to hate everything? You people would hate your mama if it was trendy and hip!

Posted by Anonymous | December 11, 2013 12:29 PM

"You people would hate your mama if it was trendy and hip!"

Everyone hates your mother.

"Saying T5 sucks is a good way to convince less people to buy tickets so maybe the poster can get his tickets easier that way...not going to work hommie."

That's pretty funny stuff. I'm guessing its won't be very difficult to get tickets for this reach of a show, St. Vincent at T5.

Posted by Anonymous | December 11, 2013 12:42 PM

St Vincents last sweep through she sold out Two shows at the Beacon :)

Posted by Anonymous | December 11, 2013 12:44 PM

"St Vincents last sweep through she sold out Two shows at the Beacon :)"

Are you serious? She was touring with DAVID BYRNE.

Posted by Anonymous | December 11, 2013 12:46 PM

Thats why I smiled silly

Posted by Anonymous | December 11, 2013 12:48 PM

"Thats why I smiled silly"

You must be 12 years old.

Anyway, unless this album somehow wins a Grammy there's no way that St. Vincent will completely fill a venue larger than Webster Hall.
