I just moved to Brooklyn from Michigan and I'm really into St. Vincent. Is Terminal 5 a good venue?

Posted by Anonymous | December 12, 2013 8:39 AM

8:39-That was beautiful

Posted by Anonymous | December 12, 2013 8:44 AM

THE CODE DOESN'T WORK

Posted by Anonymous | December 12, 2013 9:03 AM

i see no arcade fire presale you fucking liars

Posted by Anonymous | December 12, 2013 9:05 AM

Am I missing something?? Where's the presale??

Posted by Anonymous | December 12, 2013 9:06 AM

Looks like the presale started early. When I got on at 8:50, tickets were already on sale, with GA sold out.

Posted by Anonymous | December 12, 2013 9:18 AM

Let's all click on the Ticketmaster links that BV provides 100x each so it generates more revenue for this site.

Posted by Anonymous | December 12, 2013 9:47 AM

If he's doing his own presale for Arcade Fire, I doubt its the clicks that are making the real money anymore, it just cold hard cash now.

Posted by Anonymous | December 12, 2013 9:48 AM

8:39 here I love Arcade Fire, brunch, and my mustache.

Posted by Anonymous | December 12, 2013 10:05 AM

real password is "nutsonashelf"

Posted by Anonymous | December 12, 2013 10:07 AM

Try BROOKLYN

Posted by Anonymous | December 12, 2013 10:12 AM

I'm assuming the people for whom the password did not work never figured out that they had to click the "Got an Offer Code?" link on the page.

Posted by Anonymous | December 12, 2013 10:19 AM

GA is still available, but have fun paying $80

Posted by Anonymous | December 12, 2013 10:22 AM

I live in Staten Island and don't go to the city much. Is Barclays a good venue for Arcade Fire?

Posted by Anonymous | December 12, 2013 10:32 AM

8:39 if you are not a stuck up snob it will be more then fine :) Best part of the venue is no one from Manhattan goes to T5 so we get rid of all the meathead, hipsters and trust fund kids. It is a friendly crowd and more enjoyable then seeing a concert in Bushwick in a warehouse. Enjoy!

Posted by Anonymous | December 12, 2013 10:44 AM

10:44 Best post of the Week!

Posted by Anonymous | December 12, 2013 10:55 AM

by some one who lives in Rochester

Posted by Anonymous | December 12, 2013 11:52 AM

Rochester as in NY? Same state as the venue..qualified to talk about it then :)

Posted by Anonymous | December 12, 2013 12:02 PM

10:44 Best post of the Week!

By an idiot

Posted by Anonymous | December 12, 2013 12:26 PM

^ha ha live nation guy is butthurt!

Posted by Anonymous | December 12, 2013 12:41 PM

I actually agree with 10:44..it is ironic how folks who complain about T5 go to most of those shtholes in Brooklyn for shows. None of those places have decent sound or sitelines.

Posted by Anonymous | December 12, 2013 12:44 PM

This 3rd show was...not a good idea.

Posted by Anonymous | December 12, 2013 12:49 PM

^What places are you referring to Sherlock?

And yeah 12:41, you are a genius. Live Nation is butthurt because 10:44 is saying these people who stay away from T5 go to shitty DIY p[aces in Brooklyn that Live Nation has no connection to.

Once again proving your idiocy.

Posted by Anonymous | December 12, 2013 12:50 PM

^you're..smart guy

Posted by Anonymous | December 12, 2013 12:57 PM

Tons of Brooklyn venues are brick warehouses. Those are the best sounding venues of course 12:50!

Posted by Anonymous | December 12, 2013 1:00 PM

^Again, name the places you speak of Sherlock. Let's go.

Posted by Anonymous | December 12, 2013 1:01 PM

ONLY VENUES IN BROOKLYN WITH DECENT SOUND ARE
MHOW
Bell House
BAM

Sorry rest are sht

Go enjoy your Saint Vitus and Brooklyn Bowl

Posted by Anonymous | December 12, 2013 1:05 PM

12:50 thick as a brick in those Brooklyn Warehouse venues...

Posted by Anonymous | December 12, 2013 1:07 PM

Live nation guy lives in Brooklyn now he is doubly butthurt!

Posted by Anonymous | December 12, 2013 1:09 PM

Live Nation guy loves seeing Vampire Weekend, The Postal Service, Yeah Yeah Yeahs and Queens of the Stone Age at the Barclays! L O L

Posted by Anonymous | December 12, 2013 1:11 PM

Saint Vitus, sight lines better than T5

Brooklyn Bowl, sight lines better than T5

Both of those venues don't have ideal sound at all but they are way better than T5.

And once again, 10:44 posting over and over., Live Nation has nothing to do with any of those Venues. You are a complete idiot. But keep at it. Smacking a dummy is pretty fun

Posted by Anonymous | December 12, 2013 1:12 PM

Did you just say Brooklyn Bowl has better site lines...lol

Posted by Anonymous | December 12, 2013 1:14 PM

Much better. It is a way smaller place. The stage is up high. You can see fine from anywhere in the venue

Posted by Anonymous | December 12, 2013 1:16 PM

Live Nation guy is a riot!

Posted by Anonymous | December 12, 2013 1:16 PM

Yeah lane 3 has great views...

Boom crash, STRRRIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIKE!

Posted by Anonymous | December 12, 2013 1:17 PM

Yeah must be a Live Nation guy cause he is favoring one Bowery Presents venue over another. Makes total sense

Posted by Anonymous | December 12, 2013 1:17 PM

Brooklyn Bowl is fun however its problem is you can only see the stage from less then half of the main floor of the building..

Posted by Anonymous | December 12, 2013 1:18 PM

^Not true at all but hey what's to stand in the way of lies and misinformation

Posted by Anonymous | December 12, 2013 1:18 PM

Yep and T5 fan is a Bowery Presents employee makes total sense..see a trend

Posted by Anonymous | December 12, 2013 1:19 PM

Its funny because Live Nation runs like 3 venues in the city, Irving, Gramercy and Roseland, and one of them is shutting down.

Terminally Ill 5 is run by a completely different evil empire.

Posted by Anonymous | December 12, 2013 1:19 PM

Many many more negative reviews of T5 than positive ones. Easier to see that the positive ones have an agenda. Why would you so strongly defend a venue unless you had a stake in it?

Posted by Anonymous | December 12, 2013 1:20 PM

1:18 Besides the main floor you can't see the stage from the dinning, enterance, merch, table area, couches by the enterance should I go on...lies and misinformation..funny guy

Posted by Anonymous | December 12, 2013 1:20 PM

Many many more negative reviews of T5 than positive ones. Easier to see that the positive ones have an agenda. Why would you so strongly defend a venue unless you had a stake in it?

If the sound is average at best is a positive review then you got me..I am a Bowery Presents employee..good job sherlock!

Posted by Anonymous | December 12, 2013 1:21 PM

^You are an idiot. Can you see the stage from the mercy area of T5. It's not even in the main area.

Posted by Anonymous | December 12, 2013 1:21 PM

*merch

Posted by Anonymous | December 12, 2013 1:22 PM

^true but more of the venue is in an area where you can see ther stage then Brooklyn Bowl..

Posted by Anonymous | December 12, 2013 1:24 PM

@1:21, i will go with the obvious that you are the original commenter 10:44 posting over and over.

You never mentioned sound at all in THIS thread. Check the other ones where people claim the sound is great, Plus, no one in THIS thread claimed you were a BP employee. You were the one accusing the people attacking you of being employees of Live Nation. So obviously you have been involved commenting in the other threads and are still feeling hurt and carrying it over.

Continue on dummy. This is fun

Posted by Anonymous | December 12, 2013 1:25 PM

Can't we talk about the cat on the turntable! That must have good sound!

Posted by Anonymous | December 12, 2013 1:25 PM

1:25 (1) Wrong! But nice try

Posted by Anonymous | December 12, 2013 1:27 PM

Let's see the examples of anyone who said the sound is great at T5

name the quotes you speak of Sherlock. Let's go.

Posted by Anonymous | December 12, 2013 1:28 PM

Just a quick perusal of the St Vincent thread but you can do the work yourself and go through any of the T5 threads and you will find plenty of people saying that

"Like most venues it really makes a difference where you are standing. Although I did think the sight lines sucked, the T5 Mazzy Star sounded great where I was at.
Posted by Anonymous | December 10, 2013 2:45 PM

Are you done now dummy?

Posted by Anonymous | December 12, 2013 1:35 PM

Another one from 5:21 in the St Vincent thread

"As for the sound, I've seen some shows that sounded awful and some that sounded great"

Posted by Anonymous | December 12, 2013 1:37 PM

T5 sounds great also I have tinnitus and massive ear wax buildup why dont Q-Tips work no matter how deep I shove them in my ear canal Livenation is terrible BP forever

Posted by Anonymous | December 12, 2013 1:37 PM

1:35 and 1:37 those are horrible examples...are you even trying...

Posted by Anonymous | December 12, 2013 1:42 PM

If those are positive reviews 1:35 and 1:37 then those were the most negative postive reviews I ever saw!

Posted by Anonymous | December 12, 2013 1:43 PM

1:35 doesn't seem to know the meaning of positive! What a dummy!

Posted by Anonymous | December 12, 2013 1:44 PM

^ahh hahaha, dude you are just flailing away now. You asked for examples where someone said the sound is great. Picked out 2 from the myriad on this blog and all you can comeback with is they are horrible examples

Kid, you are done. Go away

Posted by Anonymous | December 12, 2013 1:44 PM

^BWAHAHAHAHAHAHA What are you smoking..can I have some.

Posted by Anonymous | December 12, 2013 1:45 PM

As for the sound, I've seen SOME SHOWS THAT SOUND AWFUL and some that sounded great

Although I DID THINK THE SIGHT LINES SUCKED, the T5 Mazzy Star sounded great where I was at.

GLOWING REVIEWS! WOW!

Posted by Anonymous | December 12, 2013 1:48 PM

@1:45 and the rest of the comments you made on here, the idiocy you have shown on here makes me think you don't have a job and probably could not afford to buy what I smoke.

So no, you can't have any

But you can keep drowning in your own stupidity.

Posted by Anonymous | December 12, 2013 1:48 PM

^trust fund kids at their finest folks! Shows over!

Posted by Anonymous | December 12, 2013 1:49 PM

1:44 got burned bad.

Posted by Anonymous | December 12, 2013 1:50 PM

Original request:

"Let's see the examples of anyone who said the sound is great at T5"

Hmm where did that say let's see examples of GLOWING reviews. You asked for examples of anyone who said the sound is great and you got 2.

Done yet or do you want to keep trying?

Posted by Anonymous | December 12, 2013 1:50 PM

SOME SHOWS THAT SOUND AWFUL and some that sounded great

Posted by Anonymous | December 12, 2013 1:51 PM

1:50 (2) doesn't understand reading comprehension

Posted by Anonymous | December 12, 2013 1:51 PM

Yeah some the sounded great is the important part. The sound is never great there but some idiot, probably a buddy of yours said they think it is

Posted by Anonymous | December 12, 2013 1:52 PM

Hmm where did that say let's see examples of GLOWING reviews. You asked for examples of anyone who said the sound is great and you got 2.

Would you think someone who had a stake in T5 submit a glowing review or just a so so review.

Think for a minute before you hit F5 and respond!

Posted by Anonymous | December 12, 2013 1:52 PM

"1:50 (2) doesn't understand reading comprehension"

Really, cause it seems they understand perfectly fine. Please explain.
I see 2 quotes of people saying they thought the sound was great there. Even if it was for select shows. Sounds like the original request was answered

Posted by Anonymous | December 12, 2013 1:53 PM

^READ AGAIN SHERLOCK. Show me examples of where someone said T5 had great sound? Both examples negated the positive with a negative comment before the semi positive thus it is neutral at best. This is over your head I can tell.

Posted by Anonymous | December 12, 2013 1:55 PM

Now answer this question as I answered yours..

Would you think someone who had a stake in T5 submit a glowing review or just a so so review?

Posted by Anonymous | December 12, 2013 1:56 PM

@1:52, maybe genius if they placed a GLOWING review it would be much more obvious of where they are coming from.

Plus I've read other threads in the past here where there were glowing reviews of the venue. You can do your own search for that. Why would I bother? You would just come back and say, omg those just glowing reviews. Not super glowing reviews

Who cares anyway, you asked for people saying the sound was great and you got it.

Now you are just acting like the idiot you are to try and save face. Typical moron.

Posted by Anonymous | December 12, 2013 1:58 PM

"Both examples negated the positive with a negative comment before the semi positive thus it is neutral at best."

Oh my god.

Posted by Anonymous | December 12, 2013 1:59 PM

"^READ AGAIN SHERLOCK. Show me examples of where someone said T5 had great sound? Both examples negated the positive with a negative comment before the semi positive thus it is neutral at best. This is over your head I can tell."

Hahahaha, i just can't anymore. You are too dumb for words. I don't even believe you believe what you just wrote

Posted by Anonymous | December 12, 2013 1:59 PM

1:58 ha ha..gave up I see..couldnt find those reviews that praise T5. Case closed dummy. Thanks for playing!

Posted by Anonymous | December 12, 2013 2:00 PM

@1:55 is the perfect example of someone grasping at straws

Hilarious

Posted by Anonymous | December 12, 2013 2:00 PM

Here is a postive review. I ate Pizza it was sorta good then I got food poisioning and puked my guts out!

Posted by Anonymous | December 12, 2013 2:02 PM

2:00 if that is grasping at straws he must have went to costco because I get what he was saying.

Posted by Anonymous | December 12, 2013 2:03 PM

^He is still at it. Trying anything at this point

Posted by Anonymous | December 12, 2013 2:03 PM

^ I know! How embarassing. Can't figure out that those reviews weren't positive. I feel bad for the kid.

Posted by Anonymous | December 12, 2013 2:06 PM

Yeah saying the sound was great which is what he asked for. Can't figure it out.

Oh but wait, is this review glowing enough for you. From the Placebo show thread:

Place was packed and the sound was fantastic. Probably the best sound I've ever heard in terminal5 !
Also, that drummer is an animal !!
Posted by ME | October 18, 2013 3:43 PM

Oh but wait he couched it in it was probably the best he has ever heard there so you know it can't be totally glowing cause it started out as glowing but then turned into a maybe it was like better than the so so times I've been there before but you know it might be just ok at other times

Hahaha c'mon idiot, work out of this one

Posted by Anonymous | December 12, 2013 2:10 PM

I move goalposts for a living.

Posted by Ad hominem Strawman | December 12, 2013 2:10 PM

Who is really winning? The idiot combing threads for reviews? This is too much fun

Posted by someone got trolled hard | December 12, 2013 2:17 PM

^C'mon shit for brains, you can do better than that. The "Oh i was only trolling" comeback is lame at best

Posted by Anonymous | December 12, 2013 2:22 PM

Posted by Puppetmaster | December 12, 2013 2:22 PM

HA HA HA!How much time did you waste on this...Have a nice day home slice!

Posted by Anonymous | December 12, 2013 2:23 PM

^about as much time as you wasted writing all those comments.

Posted by Anonymous | December 12, 2013 2:23 PM

Ha ha ha how much time did you waste 2:22? Have a nice day live nation dude. It has been a good lunch break.

Posted by Anonymous | December 12, 2013 2:23 PM

^oh it was on you lunch break you were trolling. Oh yeah, a little better than the other comeback.

Posted by Anonymous | December 12, 2013 2:25 PM

At 10:44 he took lunch and his break is now over at 2:23. That's some lunch break. Would love to know where you work?

Posted by Anonymous | December 12, 2013 2:26 PM

P U S S Y F I G H T

Posted by Anonymous | December 12, 2013 2:29 PM

2:26 how sure are you it is one person?

Posted by Anonymous | December 12, 2013 2:35 PM

The fact that he was calling the guy "live nation dude" the whole time. Pretty easy if you read all the comments to see they are the work of one very very stupid person

That started at 12:44 and lasted till 2:23. Does your job give you a 2 hour lunch break?

Posted by Anonymous | December 12, 2013 2:51 PM

At the risk of becoming part of a silly flame war, let me just chime in here with some experience.

I've attended and recorded a few dozen shows at Terminal 5, beginning in early 2008 to the present, as have the other contributors to our site. The sound at Terminal 5 is no more or no less well done than that of other comparable sized venues in the area, perhaps not quite as nice at Beacon but certainly better than Roseland and Hammerstein. I've been to shows there where the sound was absolutely terrific and completely dialed in, and I've been to shows there where the sound was boomy, or muddy or poorly mixed. But most of the shows have been somewhere in between.

My opinion is based on much experience, and can be confirmed by listening to the many recordings we have from Terminal 5 shows on nyctaper. I am not an employee of Bowery Presents, but I do enjoy many of their shows and an fortunate that they let me do what I do at their venues.

Posted by nyctaper | December 12, 2013 2:56 PM

Not to mention a very childish one at that, Asked for something and got it, then tried to weasel out of that. Asked for something else and got that and suddenly with no avenue to weasel out anymore he was then just trolling and on his lunch break.

Posted by Anonymous | December 12, 2013 2:58 PM

NYCTaper,
I don't agree with your opinion but love what you do. No disrespect but could you please point to one of your Terminally Ill 5 recordings as an example of where the sound was terrific. All the ones I have heard from there sound atrocious.

Also, well done with the BP kiss up you added in the end. That should keep you in their good graces.

Posted by Anonymous | December 12, 2013 3:05 PM

2:58 you have a very vivid imagination!
