Typhoon at MFNW 2011 (more by Autumn Andel)
Typhoon

Portland art pop ensemble Typhoon spent a good amount of time on the road this year, and they've announced that they'll head back out in 2014. Those dates include a run with the folky Lady Lamb the Beekeeper (who they've played with before) that brings Typhoon to their largest headlining NYC show yet, Webster Hall on March 27. Tickets for that show go on sale Friday (12/13) at noon with an AmEx presale starting Wednesday (12/11) at noon. All dates are listed below.

Earlier this year, Typhoon released their newest album, White Lighter, an album of highly rhythmic and heavily arranged art/chamber pop, that has already been called a favorite of 2013 by some. You can stream a track from that LP, along with the list of tour dates, below...

Not sure, I'd categorize Lady Lamb as "folky" she rocks pretty effin hard. But good looking bill.

I like the idea of having the concert with Lady Lamb and can't wait to enjoy the night with these guys.

I'm 4'11'' and you guys have no idea how much I appreciate the beginning conversation. I never get to see a show because people either don't see me and don't care or do see me and don't care. It's not like I'm going to be in the way or anything... I can barely see big screens that are showing whats going on on the stage. just let me in front or lift me up
