What's going on Tuesday? (Christmas Eve)

Whoville

Merry Christmas Eve! There’s not a lot going on tonight, of course, but if you are planning on going out, here are some options…

Baby Dee & Little Annie @ Joe’s Pub
Baby Dee & Little Annie, who released a collaborative album together in 2012 and have teamed up for shows on more than one occasion, will be teaming up again to celebrate Christmas Eve. They’re promising “an evening of depressive snowmen, disgruntled reindeer, incontinent Santas, washed up hermaphrodites and yuletide sobstresses.”

Joel Chasnoff’s ‘Christmas Eve for the Jews’ w/ Judy Gold & Todd Barry @ City Winery
City Winery is offering a break from the “Chinese food [and] a second-rate movie on cable, and the indigestion that inevitably followed” for all the Jews looking for Christmas Eve plans. Instead, they’ll have this comedy special tailored to Jews who love to laugh.

5th Semi-Annual Coincidental Night of Klezmer ft. Ben Holmes & more @ Barbes
In the venue’s words, “December 24th is, generally speaking, a great night for Klezmer and Yiddish song. Nobody has ever satisfactorily explained why, it just seems to be some type of coincidence.” If you’re in the Klezmer mood tonight too, join Ben Holmes “plus friends and maybe some foes.”

Union Hall is open with Christmas-themed drinks, bocce ball, and their fireplace going. No music though.
