Gary Clark Jr

If it sounds like a collaboration between Mississippi rapper Big K.R.I.T. and blues rock guitarist Gary Clark Jr. would be odd or sound out of place, it's actually quite the opposite. The two both contributed to Talib Kweli's "Demonology" in late December, and now KRIT appears on the "Black and Blu" remix from Gary's upcoming mixtape, D. Nice Presents Blak and Blu: The Mixtape. (The track was originally on Gary's 2012 LP of the same name.) KRIT's no stranger to working with blues guitarists either, having already successfully collaborated with blues legend B.B. King. The two sound great together on the new remix, and make a pretty good argument that we could use more blues/rap collaborations if they're done like this. Check it out below.

Gary Clark Jr hits the road in February supporting Kings of Leon.

This is just the actual song (which is great) with rapping (that is mediocre) over it. Did I miss something?

No - but the coat hanger missed you, apparently.

This is now a BV comment thread.

From the theme of the song, you would've expect the visuals to be in some club with chicks shaking their ass all on the camera but no. Krit and Rico kept it classy and well preserved by having these women showing off their bodies without overly saturating themselves. Hey, I dig this. And oh yeah
