Captain, We're Sinking
Captain We're Sinking

Scranton, PA's Captain, We're Sinking released one of the more acclaimed 2013 records in punk circles with The Future Is Cancelled (out now on Run for Cover). Singer Ben Barnett is the brother of Menzingers singer Greg Barnett (who they recently toured with), and you'll definitely hear a similarity in their voices and their knack for songwriter-punk. You can stream The Future Is Cancelled in full below.

Captain, We're Sinking don't have a tour scheduled at the moment, but they do have a one-off in Brooklyn happening at Bushwick DIY spot Suburbia on Friday (1/10) (330 Melrose). It's a great lineup too, including Ohio post-hardcore duo Cherry Cola Champions (who we wrote about here), Philly trio NONA (who we wrote about here), and Suburbia residents Living Room. Show starts at 8 PM and admission is $5 at the door.

Because of this band, I woke up to the reality of the world.

Yeah I know, Cryng for change.
Me too, find a new way to write music.

underwater? Is that edgy enough for you?

even though the tracklisting is backwards, shoddy workmanship wouldve been a killer lead off for the album´╗┐
