So when are the 'Mats announcing NYC dates?

Posted by Anonymous | January 8, 2014 11:26 PM

Why would you want to be in the desert for this?

Posted by Anonymous | January 8, 2014 11:26 PM

FAAAAAART

Posted by Anonymous | January 8, 2014 11:26 PM

Fucking weak minus outkast. They get Nas on the 20th anniversary of Illmatic, thats gonna probably be really cool.

Posted by Anonymous | January 8, 2014 11:27 PM

underwhelmed

Posted by Anonymous | January 8, 2014 11:28 PM

I'm pretty fucking GAY for this line-up.

ZEDD!!!!!!!!
CALVIN HARRIS!!!!
SKRILLEX!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1111

Posted by Anonymous | January 8, 2014 11:31 PM

saturday looks really good and i would honestly go just for Neutral Milk Hotel and OutKast so i guess the whole thing is pretty solid

Posted by Anonymous | January 8, 2014 11:34 PM

this line-up is pretty hummugeneous...

Posted by Anonymous | January 8, 2014 11:34 PM

primavera sound is always so much better i dont know why people even bother going to coachella

Posted by Anonymous | January 8, 2014 11:36 PM

Z100 Jingle Ball in the Desert with: Muse, Skrillex, Pharrell, Lana Del Ray. Lorde, Foster the People, Haim, Calvin Harris.

Posted by Anonymous | January 8, 2014 11:43 PM

I wanna see the fake knife show.

Posted by Anonymous | January 8, 2014 11:47 PM

QOTSA are playing bro. high-five! hope they got a Buffalo Wild Wings there so we can catch the game

Posted by Anonymous | January 8, 2014 11:50 PM

BEST FEST YEAR AFTER YEAR

Posted by Anonymous | January 8, 2014 11:51 PM

This is actually the best line-up Goldenvoice put out in years. Well, that is if you like underground house & techno. Tiga, Scuba, Duke Dumont, Bicep, Maceo Plex, Hot Since 82, Solomun, Cajmere, Nina Kraviz, Art Department, The Martinez Brothers, Dixon, Guy Gerber and Laurent Garnier are all great. Even some of the more popular electronic acts like Disclosure, Flume, and Fatboy Slim are excellent choices. If you like molly, and want to roll for three days straight, this is probably the line-up for you...

...for me, I still wouldn't travel for this. With the exception of the larger acts, all of these dj's play NYC (namely Output) more than once a year. Don't waste your money on shortened sets.

Posted by Anonymous | January 9, 2014 12:02 AM

Seeing the words 'Lana del Ray' right next to 'Motörhead' could not be an unamazing, completely unintentional joke.

Posted by Anonymous | January 9, 2014 12:13 AM

lol @ Nas on the third line....

Posted by Anonymous | January 9, 2014 12:28 AM

alright already with the fucking MUSE

Posted by Anonymous | January 9, 2014 12:35 AM

the lesser known names are better than the headliners

Posted by Anonymous | January 9, 2014 12:37 AM

I'll agree with 12:02

its a step up on the house and techno. the Yuma tent will be pumping. the rest of the lineup however.. when beady eye is towards the top of lineup, you're in trouble. worst lineup in a while

Posted by Anonymous | January 9, 2014 12:39 AM

"alright already with the fucking MUSE"

i agree. it seems like festival organizers just booked muse when they can't find another decent headliner. a great live act, but no one is surprised to see them on there..

Posted by Anonymous | January 9, 2014 12:55 AM

Needs Deafheaven

Posted by Anonymous | January 9, 2014 12:57 AM

The ipods

Posted by Anonymous | January 9, 2014 1:19 AM

I'm pretty fucking GAY for this line-up.
ZEDD!!!!!!!!
CALVIN HARRIS!!!!
SKRILLEX!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1111

^
you have A LOT of growing up to do.. dood!

I hope you are 17 years old.

Posted by Anonymous | January 9, 2014 1:44 AM

The Toy Dolls! Why would you want anything else?

Posted by Anonymous | January 9, 2014 2:15 AM

chvrches svck dvck.

Posted by Anonymous | January 9, 2014 2:43 AM

I love Title Fight

Posted by Anonymous | January 9, 2014 3:03 AM

finally i get to see anti-flag in an overpriced sweaty desert FUCK YEAH

Posted by Anonymous | January 9, 2014 3:30 AM

Horrible Lineup. One of the worst.

Posted by Anonymous | January 9, 2014 4:41 AM

Lorde ahead of the Pet Shop Boys! Are you serious!!!!

Posted by Anonymous | January 9, 2014 7:40 AM

Ahh Afghan Whigs...hope they play Ny again soon!

Posted by Anonymous | January 9, 2014 7:42 AM

Day one ruined by HAIM. They are the worst.

Posted by Anonymous | January 9, 2014 8:24 AM

no Grimes?

Posted by Anonymous | January 9, 2014 8:38 AM

Replacements! I hope this means they are going to tour.

Posted by Anonymous | January 9, 2014 8:42 AM

AFI! Slightly larger text...moving on up! Break out the mascara.

Posted by Anonymous | January 9, 2014 9:02 AM

>>Lorde ahead of the Pet Shop Boys! Are you serious!!!!

It's called actually selling tickets to the 17 yr olds who keep this thing going. Old dudes who are into Neutral Milk Hotel won't be sitting in 110 degree weather.

Posted by Anonymous | January 9, 2014 9:21 AM

The year Coachella officially fell off

Posted by Anonymous | January 9, 2014 9:21 AM

John Beaver..heh heh

Posted by Anonymous | January 9, 2014 9:23 AM

Wow toy dolls amaze

Posted by Anonymous | January 9, 2014 9:24 AM

11:26 - Exactly!

Only band worth seeing, or mentioning for that matter.

BTW - that lineup sucks.

Posted by Anonymous | January 9, 2014 9:51 AM

I wonder how Bryan Ferry feels after a 42 year career being billed below Chromeo and HAIM

a sad state

Posted by Anonymous | January 9, 2014 9:58 AM

amazing line-up! Only Justin Bieber and One Direction missing to make it perfect!

Posted by Anonymous | January 9, 2014 10:04 AM

Yeah, I didn't even notice Bryan Ferry on that list. Not like any of the youngbloods going to this will care.

Posted by Anonymous | January 9, 2014 10:21 AM

UNLOCKING THE TRUTH

Posted by Anonymous | January 9, 2014 10:29 AM

A lot of repeat performances this year. Even of some artists that played last year.

Posted by Anonymous | January 9, 2014 10:42 AM

too bad they couldn't get the holy trinity of Alanis, Shania, and Amy Grant to headline...isn't that what you hipsters like these days? Haim?

Posted by Anonymous | January 9, 2014 10:42 AM

^^ proving you can market and sell any garbage to total sheep

Posted by Anonymous | January 9, 2014 10:53 AM

Hope for some local Mogwai dates and Whigs.

Posted by Anonymous | January 9, 2014 11:01 AM

MOTORHEAD! See them now kiddies, don't know how much longer Lemmy is for this world

Posted by Anonymous | January 9, 2014 11:05 AM

weak festival

Posted by Anonymous | January 9, 2014 11:06 AM

get bent

Posted by blayne | January 9, 2014 11:21 AM

talk about the worst of the worst hipster bullshit. thank fucking christ i don't have to live in ca.

i'm sure sorority girls will be in abundance though, if you're into that type of thing

Posted by Anonymous | January 9, 2014 11:31 AM

I don't know why I read these comments.

Posted by Anonymous | January 9, 2014 11:32 AM

CHRISTIE MUST GO

Posted by Anonymous | January 9, 2014 11:36 AM

Some cool stuff on the line-up, but not worth flying out for (to me anyway).

I saw the Replacements at RiotFest, which ruled, and they are the biggest draw for me.

Posted by Anonymous | January 9, 2014 11:36 AM

Looks real shitty.

Posted by Anonymous | January 9, 2014 11:39 AM

Friday is worth it just for the Replacements and the Cult!

Posted by Anonymous | January 9, 2014 11:42 AM

MAYBE worth a trip to Philly or Atlantic City, but CA desert? NFW

Posted by Anonymous | January 9, 2014 11:44 AM

Better off listening to City and Colour and Foster the People in your dads spare room than going to this.

Posted by Anonymous | January 9, 2014 11:48 AM

Anti-Flag? Warped Tour circa 2004 called, they want their band back.

Having Arcade Fire is really quite the surprise. It's not like we've been bludgeoned with their horseshit enough these past few months.

Posted by Anonymous | January 9, 2014 11:53 AM

Would love to see the toy dolls! But not at fucking coachella...

Posted by Anonymous | January 9, 2014 11:56 AM

They're really scraping the bottom of the barrel with this line-up. Damn.

Posted by Anonymous | January 9, 2014 12:03 PM

stop making excuses, this is the worst Cochella lineup yet

Posted by Anonymous | January 9, 2014 12:27 PM

I generally like Coachella lineups, but the ladder 2 have been pretty awful.

Posted by Anonymous | January 9, 2014 12:38 PM

Save your money. Replacements @ Williamsburg Waterfront in July.

Posted by Anonymous | January 9, 2014 12:40 PM

^ yup, with opening act Django! Django!

Posted by Anonymous | January 9, 2014 12:52 PM

Surfer Blood's name gets smaller and smaller each year.

Posted by Anonymous | January 9, 2014 1:01 PM

Bryan Ferry > Most of the acts. Just more proof the music scene in general aint what it used to be. I do hope Outkast and The Mats hit NYC next summer.

Posted by Anonymous | January 9, 2014 1:02 PM

fun Bryan Ferry fact:

Ferry began a relationship with Amanda Sheppard, one of his son's ex-girlfriends. Sheppard worked in public relations until she quit her job in 2009 after Ferry offered to support her financially.[37] In early January 2012, Ferry married Sheppard in a private ceremony on the Turks and Caicos Islands.[38] In August 2013, it was reported that the couple were to separate after 19 months of marriage.

Posted by Anonymous | January 9, 2014 1:11 PM

1:01 I'm sure they're really choked up about it

Posted by Anonymous | January 9, 2014 1:49 PM

Outkast confirmed for Governors Ball:

Posted by texastab | January 9, 2014 2:01 PM

Am I the only one that hates Muse? They started off as a weak Radiohead tribute band and have since gotten worse. Saturday is pretty weak compared to the other days (outside of QOTSA).

Posted by Anonymous | January 9, 2014 2:08 PM

"Am I the only one that hates Muse?"

Far from it. We are legion.

Posted by Anonymous | January 9, 2014 2:57 PM

can't wait to get in for $5 day of.

Posted by Anonymous | January 9, 2014 3:08 PM

That's a lot of shitty teeny bopper EDM. I wonder how many kids will die from eating bath salts?

Posted by Anonymous | January 9, 2014 3:32 PM

I enjoy The Replacements as much as anyone but its not like you haven't had a chance to catch a Westerberg solo show over the past 15 years, which is essentially what this is: Paul, Stinsen, and a cpl scabs.

Posted by Anonymous | January 9, 2014 3:46 PM

RIP festivals. There just aren't enough quality performers to fill a festival. Much less two weekends.

But the sheeple, Tweens and advertising agency people will sell it out.
What a joke.

Posted by Hilarious | January 9, 2014 4:30 PM

The year Coachella officially fell off
^
try 07 or whenever madonna was booked.

that was the beginning of the end.

Posted by Anonymous | January 9, 2014 4:41 PM

958, Ferry probably feels like a slave. . . to love

Posted by Anonymous | January 9, 2014 4:45 PM

Krewella. Check out her new lyric video for “Enjoy The Ride”: http://smarturl.it/EnjoyTheRideLV

Posted by anonymous | January 9, 2014 5:11 PM

There are some good bands on here.. but I have to concede, this is pretty weak for a Coachella line-up.

Posted by Anonymous | January 9, 2014 6:50 PM

Here's a playlist of three songs by every Coachella artist for you to listen to while you buy your tickets and plan your schedule. Find new artists and enjoy the ones you already love! If you like it, please subscribe to the playlist and share!

^LOL. quick! get some hummus over seamless. Or a phalaphel.

Posted by Anonymous | January 9, 2014 8:49 PM

just stop tristan, you are negating my bv experience

Posted by Anonymous | January 9, 2014 9:55 PM

how can this year's lineup be worse than the 04 lineup (see below)? even after all this time, I'd take the 04 lineup without looking twice. I was at the 04 festival and it stands as the best festival expierences ever for me. very hard to top.

Posted by Anonymous | January 9, 2014 11:32 PM

does anyone still listen to neutral milk hotel?

Posted by Anonymous | January 9, 2014 11:57 PM

only with products from the Apple Computer Corporation.

Posted by sheeple McLambster | January 10, 2014 12:05 AM

346 Scabs? Not really. They are the same guys who were on Paul's 1st solo tour which was better than the last couple of Mats tours. Plus they are playing Mats tunes! Not at all the same. As for Coachella. it's years past it's peak. Not sure why anyone would go unless it were free.

Posted by Anonymous | January 10, 2014 1:52 AM

208 No there are plenty of others. The worst of U2 + the worst of Radiohead = Muse. They are a lameass band.

Posted by Anonymous | January 10, 2014 1:55 AM

There are some good bands on here.. but I have to concede, this is pretty weak for a Coachella line-up.

Posted by hguhf jgfds | February 17, 2014 10:00 AM

Fuck Coachella. If Dimebag Darrel ain't playing guitar, ain't no fucking concert, no way.

Posted by Anonymous | February 24, 2014 1:25 AM

I cannot believe this idiot is comparing fucking Lil Wayne to Eminem, Biggie and Tupac. Your point is so invalid as well because Eminem is one of the best rappers of all time with Biggie, Tupac, Nas, Wu-Tang, Snoop an Dre, there are also some other amazing rappers but i just wanted to finish this comment
