Endless Boogie at ATP NYC 2012 (more by Luis Ruiz)
Endless Boogie

Jammy Brooklyn rockers Endless Boogie are about to kick off a residency at hometown venue Union Pool for the month of January (something they've done before). They'll be playing every Wednesday this month, starting this week (1/8), and there's different openers every night.

Photographer and DJ Josh Wildman, a regular at the now closed Max Fish where Endless Boogie could also often be found, will be doing "his amazing freak out squelching guitar ramblings" to open up the first night (1/8) of the residency that also features Lungfish's Dan Higgs on the bill.

Syphilitic Lust, whose 1/2 show at Acheron with Mutilation Rites was cancelled, will make their next appearance as part of the second week (1/15) of the residency along with Jack Rose collaborator and D. Charles Speer & the Helix member Hans Chew who maybe you caught opening for the Boogie back at their album release show in February.

Spacin', Mike Wexler + Band, Call of the Wild, Steve Gunn and a few others TBA will likely be confirmed for the 1/22 and 1/29 dates, so stay tuned for more concrete details on that. No advance tickets for any of the four shows; admission is $9 at the door.

Endless Boogie also open one of the two sold-out Stephen Malkmus & the Jicks NYC shows in February.

BV, SERIOUS QUESTION: are you aware of any way to track Dan Higgs' live appearances in advance? I love the guy, but I never know when the hell he's playing until two days beforehand and I can never rearrange my schedule at that point. Would love to be able to plan to see him some time - I've missed his last three NYC appearances at least because of this issue. Thanks for any leads you can provide.
