Here's who you can rule out for Gov Ball:

Imagine Dragons (Izod Center in March)

Jack Johnson (I don't think they'd stoop that low...though they did book Guns N' Roses)

The Lumineers (played last year)

Arctic Monkeys (MSG date in Feb)

Band Of Horses (Beacon date, though it sold out so...maybe?)

Young The Giant (two nights at Hammerstein in Feb/Mar)

Grouplove (T5 date in Mar)

Local Natives (played last year)

Any good hummus joints in Delaware?

Posted by Anonymous | January 14, 2014 3:00 PM

This will be the year of the biggest borefests ever in the world of festivals. Coachella sucks, this sucks and Govs Ball is going to suck. B'roo might end up being the best festival this year.

Posted by Anonymous | January 14, 2014 3:09 PM

Aw, 3:09, could you tell us who YOU think should be playing these festivals?

(I know, I know, "NOT" the bands listed above).

Posted by Anonymous | January 14, 2014 3:17 PM

@3:09

Only goes to Festivals to see shit bands like Phish and Allman Brothers

Posted by Anonymous | January 14, 2014 3:21 PM

Posted by Anonymous | January 14, 2014 3:55 PM

That lineup has a lot of terrible bands and a few good ones. Worse a lot of the terrible is at the top.

I also think based on this & Coachella that it's a shit year for festival lineups. As for the idiot that likes this lineup and questions the music taste of anyone who doesn't... really? Fuck off this blog your taste is shit.

that Amanda Palmer crowd pic brings back memories of that thread, i'm getting a hate boner just thinking about it again

Posted by Anonymous | January 14, 2014 10:33 PM

I've heard rumors about a new festival called Phases of the Moon that's supposed to have some really great musicians, not exactly indie but great music anyway. I can't wait to see the lineup for that one, you should all check it out.

Posted by Anonymous | January 14, 2014 11:07 PM

1107 "not exactly indie" means there is a chance it may be worth going to.

Posted by Anonymous | January 15, 2014 12:16 AM

Wow that Foo Fighters hiatus was, uh, short.

Posted by Anonymous | January 15, 2014 2:24 AM

Posted by Anonymous | January 15, 2014 8:22 PM

NYC get a small preview of the fest when Magic Man, Sleeper Agent, and New Politics play together at Bowery Ballroom on 1/30. Also - Sleeper Agent got a new lyric video out for "Waves" http://smarturl.it/WavesLyric

Posted by Bobby | January 24, 2014 2:00 PM

I see the useless whore Amanda Palmer is trying to comment bomb this thread. At least firefly had the sense not to book that AWFUL bitch.

Posted by Keeno | January 26, 2014 7:46 PM

G Eazy "THE JAMES DEAN OF HIP-HOP"

Posted by bob | May 9, 2014 6:17 PM

the music you've used for this video does not represent that of which is played at the festival at all. what the fuck is this shit. Please stop trying to appeal to another demographic because if your trying to make this an EDM festival go fuck your moms. this is bullshit fuck you goodbye´╗┐
