Acoustic Hot Tuna

Hot Tuna, the blues band that Jorma Kaukonen and Jack Casady formed during their time in Jefferson Airplane and remains very active today, is currently on a winter tour that kicked off last week. The tour came near NYC for a Long Island show at Westhampton Beach PAC this past Friday (1/3). It was one of the band's acoustic shows, and saw Jorma and Jack playing as a trio with Barry Mitterhoff. Like pretty much all of their shows, it included a number of old blues tunes as well as some Tuna originals. No "Somebody to Love" like they did at their recent Beacon Theater show though. Pictures from the show are in this post.

One of Jormas coolist tunes is Too Long In-To Long out !! Especially when he says 'Well I spent some time in Wichata Thought it was a bitch' .Or when he says 'Well hello New York City hope your waiting on my call bet that since I've been there your the greatest one of all,well hello good time time city come on come on have a ball !!
