John Fogerty @ The Paramount - 1/30/14
John Fogerty

Former frontman of swamp rock vets Creedence Clearwater Revival and active solo artist John Fogerty last played NYC on his fall 2013 tour and he just returned to the area for two Long Island shows at The Paramount this week. We caught last night's show (1/30), which saw the rock legend and his band (which includes his son Shane on guitar) playing tons of old CCR favorites like "Born On The Bayou," "Who'll Stop The Rain," "Have You Ever Seen The Rain," "Down On The Corner," "Fortunate Son," "Bad Moon Rising" and many more. Pictures of that show are in this post.

John hangs around the area to play Howard Stern's birthday party at Hammerstein Ballroom tonight (1/31) with Steven Tyler, Jon Bon Jovi, Louis CK, David Letterman, and Sarah Silverman. He also has some festival appearances coming up this year, including New Orleans Jazz Fest.

More pictures, a video and John's setlist from last night, below...

Great setlist. He's an incredible live performer and often overlooked guitarist.

does he have to offer every conceivable type of product for sale to satisfy fantasy records' greed, sothat he may be allowed to play the songs they hold copyright on?

Really BV? John Fogerty? Fuck this shit.

He sells the shirt he wears on stage? That is pretty fucking crass.

HAHAHAHAHA!!!! The flannel for sale has got to be some of the most shameful merchandise i've seen in years.

Why? No one is being forced to buy his shit. It's no different than posters, calendars, keychains etc. Or sports jerseys and and caps for that matter.

10: 32

He makes no profit on ANYTHING he did w CCR. He gave up his rights to get out of the contract.

He gets a free pass for writing "Ramble Tamble," the greatest rock song ever.

Fogerty is awesome - but he seems to be reading the lyrics. OK - I forgive him...
