Mac DeMarco @ M for Montreal 2014 (more by Ellie Pritts)

As we wrote this morning, Mac DeMarco just played a very loose solo show at Brooklyn Night Bazaar over that weekend where he gave the crowd a taste of his new album, Salad Days, that will be out at some point this spring. Date for the album is still TBA but Mac just announced a North American tour that has him out with his Captured Tracks labelmate Juan Wauters and a few dates also include Amen Dunes. The NYC show will happen at Webster Hall on April 9 with Wauters and Tonstartssbandht. Tickets for Webster go on sale Friday (1/17) with an AmEx presale starting Wednesday (1/15) at noon.

You can see Tonstartssbandht twice in NYC this weekend, meanwhile. They play as part of Friday's (1/17) sold-out 285 Kent show headlined by Dan Deacon, and then they play Saturday (1/18) at Death By Audio as part of a bill that includes Alex Bleeker and the Freaks, Each Other, Nurse and Soldier, and Baked.

"....very loose solo show"'s almost to a fault

If you caught DeMarco's show at Webster hall opening for Ty Segall you'd probably understand how disappointing it was...I recall a Limp Bizkit cover.

His music makes me feel better when I'm having shitty days and makes chill times that much more fun. Who is the bass player btw? His groove really adds that extra thing to the music, like Andy Rourke to The Smiths.
