Marthas Vineyard Ferries

The Marthas Vineyard Ferries, the indie rock "supergroup" made up of Elisha Wiesner (Kahoots), Bob Weston (Shellac, Volcano Suns, Mission of Burma), and Chris Brokaw (Come, Codeine, The New Year), released their first full length, Mass. Grave (following 2010's In The Pond EP), this past October via Kiam Records. If you haven't heard it yet, you can stream the whole thing below.

The band have a few upcoming Northeast dates this month, including one at the actual Martha's Vineyard on January 9 and one in Brooklyn on January 11 at Death by Audio with Mexican Knives and Empty Flowers. Admission for that show is $7 at the door.

All dates are listed, along with the LP stream, below...

They seem like nice chaps

the bar has been severely lowered for what is now called a "supergroup".

"the bar has been severely lowered for what is now called a "supergroup"."

yeah, because a band consisting of three highly respectable musicians in the indie community doesn't count as a supergroup. go listen to your arcade fire album.

I took the Martha's Vineyard ferry from Woods Hole, MA. Parking was reasonable and the ferries where fast. I have fond memories of the experience I had on the ferries!

Nantucket has always been the superior destination

Posted by Anonymous | January 2, 2014 12:27 PM

Martha's Vineyard is Manhattan and Nantucket is Brooklyn choose accordingly!

No cars on Nantucket, so Nantucket wins

Just listened to the album stream. Love Bob Weston's work, but this album just stumbles along. Nothing sticks out. Must give it another listen while I am not stuck at work listening with headphones.

^I wonder water they going to play at the shows. They are tide for my favorite new band. They are reelly good. They once did a Rod Stewart cover which was killer. Soon they will no longer need to fish for opening acts as they will cast their net further!

Just awful. Joke skool for all you neckbeards.

Posted by Anonymous | January 2, 2014 1:41 PM
