Matthew Dear at Capitale in 2013 (more by Dylan Johnson)

Electronic musician Matthew Dear has no plans announced for a full tour at the moment, but after returning to NYC from DJing Montreal's Igloofest on Friday (1/17), he'll be making an appearance at Brooklyn's Paper Box on Saturday (1/18). It's a Verboten-presented show that also features Matt Tolfrey, Ryan Crosson and jozif. Tickets for that show are on sale now. It's not totally clear if he'll be DJing or playing live.

Last month/year, Matthew teamed up with Tegan & Sara (who play the Amnesty International concert at Barclays Center) for a cover of Tears for Fears' "Pale Shelter." You can stream that cover, along with Matthew's list of dates, below...

Nope, this is fairly lame, one of the main appeals of TFF or Gary Jules doing this song is the passion and emotion that come out of the singing, I don't hear any of that here. The music itself is fine, but I won't feel a need to listen to this ever again´╗┐
