PUP covered Jay Reatard's "My Shadow," touring with Solids

At our BV-presented Death by Audio show in December, Toronto punks PUP played a cover of the late Jay Reatard‘s “My Shadow” from his 2006 LP, Blood Visions, and they’ve now offered a studio recording of that cover. They don’t stray too far from the original, while still making it sound like a PUP song. You can stream it (via NME) below. PUP will also be re-releasing their debut album via their new label, SIdeOneDummy, this year.

Since we last spoke, PUP were added to many of the dates on fellow Canadian rockers Solids‘ upcoming tour, including their NYC show happening on March 25 at Mercury Lounge (tickets). They weren’t announced for their 3/24 show at Glasslands (and no one else is yet either). PUP also headline their own NYC show even sooner on February 21 at Cameo. Tickets for that show are still available.
