Ringo

We just posted about the many events that are happening surrounding the 50th anniversary of The Beatles first American visit, and here's another. Ringo Starr, who performed "Photograph" on the Grammys as well as with his onetime Beatle bandmate Paul McCartney, has just announced a North American tour for the spring/summer. That includes two shows in NYC at The Beacon Theatre on June 17 & 18. He's also playing The Theatre at Westbury on June 11, and Oakdale Theater in CT on June 14, and the Count Basie Theater in NJ on June 20, amongst other East Coast Shows.

No word on tickets yet for the Beacon Theatre shows but stay tuned. Tickets for Oakdale Theater go on sale Friday (1/31) at 10 AM. Ringo and Paul are both part of "The Night That Changed America: A GRAMMY Salute To The Beatles" that airs next week on CBS. All Ringo Starr tour dates are listed below.

If Paz isn't on bass ... than it's not really a show featuring a one-time-famous-but-now-fucking-the-chicken-star kinda show.

Why can't we all just play some Beatles records on the 50th and remember it how it was... and not plow it into the ground making me feel bad cause Ringo Starr will not sell any tickets?

I think this is a Beatle come back album, without John. I imagine John saying..."let Harry do my parts so we don't have a Beatles reunion". We've got Ringo, George, Paul and Harry Nillson as well as many other notable musicians playing on this album that its like an all star event such as Ringo named his band All Star Band in later years.´╗┐
