Beyonce and Blue's gold sippy cup
Beyonce

Beyonce, whose critically acclaimed self-titled album is still finding its way into the news constantly (like 'Yoncé's "Drunk in Love" performance at the Grammys), with tons of people praising her, criticizing her, or writing thinkpieces on whether or not we should be praising or criticizing her. Now, if you're a college student in NJ who wants to dive even further into the world of Beyonce, you're in luck. Fox News reports that the Department of Women's and Gender Studies at Rutgers University now offers a course called "Politicizing Beyonce." According to professor Kevin Allred, he's using Beyonce's career "as a way to explore American race, gender and sexual politics."

If you missed it, watch Beyonce's Grammys performance below...

you too can learn how to get mass media to fool people into thinking you're somehow greater than you actually are by reporting on every little thing you do like it's some act of genius

1:32, a guy I worked with complained years ago that Beyonce kept taking steps to make herself look more like a white woman

Don't buy the novel, you won't read it. Just show up to class and post to Tumblr every week to get an A! He lets us pick our own grades at the end of the semester

I always looked forward to this class because he made it so much fun. Only two projects throughout the semester, based on your creativity and what you learned during the course. Weekly readings, but never mandatory. We read one book, but a lot of people chose not to. Only definite weekly hw was to post 3 things to class Tumblr weekly. Great course!

Kevin is a GREAT professor. I took his feminist perspective class and I loved it! he's so chill and in the class we all learn from each other rather than just getting lectured. He's so cute & fun, definitely an easy A if you show up do your weekly journal entries and participate in class. Oh yeah and do the final paper which is a piece of cake

took kevin's feminist perspective course and he's an amazing professor. he's super fun and cool and has a great sense of humor. really laid back too. super light reading. basically if you do the response papers (10 1-pagers over the course of the semester) & participate in class it's an easy A
