Ted and Aimee at MHOW in 2012 (more by Dana (distortion) Yavin)
The Both

The Both, aka the collaborative project of Ted Leo and Aimee Mann, will be playing more shows for 2014, and though we haven't seen a full tour announcement yet, we know they'll be in NYC on April 29 at Bowery Ballroom and May 1 at Music Hall of Williamsburg. Tickets for those shows go on sale Friday (1/24) at noon.

As you may know, Tom Scharpling's The Best Show on WFMU signed off for good at the end of 2013. On the penultimate show (12/10), Ted and Aimee made an appearance, singing a Best Show tribute song which you can download above or stream below. Also below is a playlist Ted made in December with that song and 16 others that he's "done on/for The Best Show."

And lastly, below you can watch a full set video of The Both's show at The Bell House from this past September...

What's the most confusing day of the year in Harlem?

Fathers Day?

I really don't understand all this reverence for Scharpling. He's one of the biggest assholes to walk the face of the planet, and his show wasn't even mildly funny.

Fathers Day?

That was a joke Diana, Princess of Wales told to her husband and a representative of a black federation.

"What's the definition of mass confusion? Father's Day in Brixton."

it's incredible that people are such "huge" aimee mann fan's but can't wrap their heads around why she might want to play music with ted leo. I mean I wonder why. I can't even begin to imagine.
