The Range

Maker of one of Pitchfork's Top 50 Albums of 2013 (Top 100 tracks too), Rhode Island beatmaker The Range has some upcoming shows around the country including one in Chicago and two at Brooklyn venue Baby's All Right (where KiT plays late tonight - 1/9).

The first Brooklyn gig we mentioned already and is just a DJ set as part of a 1/25 benefit for the Ali Forney Center. Members of Au Revoir Simone are DJing that too, and bands like Big Ups are playing., You can see the flyer below.

The second Brooklyn show is on 2/8 and an actual Range set. Tickets are on sale for that.

Check out a video interview conducted at Glasslands along with all dates, Festival Nrmal in Mexico included, below...

so fucking boring

Not the same since Hornsby left.

re: the picture.

- Standing/walking on the roof is damaging to the roof membrane
- That crazy extension cord mess is very likely to conduce to some sort of a fire
- Since these are row houses, the fire might spread quickly to the adjacent buildings
- Looking like an a$$hole doesn't help the case

Hopefully the landlord is not an avid BrooklynVegan reader

Bahaha. Damn! That was gonna be my line! Looks like the boring dude from the Hold Steady.

Actually, I used to see that boring dude from the Hold Steady. Wait, that's an oxymoron, right? Boring + Hold Steady. Anyway, is it really bad for the membrane of the roof to stand on it? Shit. When I had my railroad apartment in Gpoint, we used to do that all the time. I was just a block from the water so you can imagine, I mean, those of you reading who know Brooklyn and not just the flyoverfuckingstates who read this. I miss those days. Gpoint today isn't the same kinda place it was in 2005. I wonder if there are still stray cats all over the place. Not the band, but the band was named after those little critters. Anyway. Get a fucking life. Why are you still even reading this. Laterz. I'll be back tomorrow.

Gpoint's still cool dude. It's got Vitus, unobstructed views of Manhattan's skyline and Papacito's. Less stray cats nowadays though

Posted by Anonymous | January 9, 2014 10:04 PM

I really don't know what to say... cats all over Gpoint?

Posted by Benjamin Dara | January 9, 2014 10:51 PM

One thing I can say for sure is not an oxymoron is stray cats and papacitos

9:04 wins it.
