The Allman Brothers are returning to Beacon Theatre for another multi-night run at the venue from March 7 to 22. Tickets to those shows go on sale Friday, January 10 at 10 AM, and there's a couple ongoing presales right now.

The Hood Internet, Pictureplane and Bearstronaut are playing a free Converse Rubber Tracks Live show at Glasslands on January 16. It's free, but you do need tickets, which are on "sale" now.

'60s-era cult guitar hero Peter Walker, who we recently profiled, is playing Baby's All Right on February 6. Tickets for that show are on sale now.

Scott Simon's Wonderful Town takes place at The Bell House on January 22 with Eugene Mirman, Nellie McKay, Polkabjorn & Kleine Heine, Nore Davis, and Mars mission specialists Jane Poynter & Tabor MacCallum. Tickets for that show are on sale now.

Assuming the weather allows it too, the 8th Annual 50 FIrst Jokes, hosted by John F. O'Donnell, takes place at The Bell House tonight (1/3). Tickets are available.

Whie both of these guys are definitely good, they have not quite made the grade as great. There are way too many unknowns that I know that are better than they are. They either never had the same opportunities, or like myself, never tried. From experience I have learned ability isn't everything. Drive needs to be there as well. I blew many chances for idiotic reasons. Don't know if I would have made anything of myself or not. I know many thought I would. But I am an Arsehole. Nuff said.
